ALL products in the EMERSENSE® series are natural-derived, and they find application in Home and Personal Wellness as well as in industrial and institutional cleaning segments.

EMERSENSE® AS – A series of sodium alkyl sulphate (SAS), primary surfactants. EMERSENSE® AS are highly effective cleaning agents and have good foaming properties. They are widely used in household and personal care products such as cleanser, detergent, shampoo and toothpaste.

EMERSENSE® ES –The sodium alkyl ether sulphate series are major components in hair care, skin care, and body care products. Due to its good skin compatibility and strong foaming power, it is used extensively in rinse-off toiletries or personal care products, liquid dish wash and also laundry detergents. lt also has better water hardness stability.

EMERSENSE® AE - A group of nonionic surfactants produced through the ethoxylation of Emery Oleochemicals` fatty alcohol derived from natural bases. They carry different degrees of ethoxylation to cater to different applications based on the HLB value. They are widely used as an intermediate for surfactants manufacturing, emulsifier, detergents, dish washes and hand soaps.

EMERSENSE® AM is a nonionic alkanolamide which is widely used as a foam booster, foam stabilizer and thickening agent in anionic surfactant system in products such as dishwashing liquids, laundry detergents, floor cleaners etc.

EMERSENSE® CBA series exhibits good compatibility with all classes of surfactants. In aqueous solution, they offer either a non-ionic or a cationic character depending on pH. When the pH is higher than 7, the non-ionic character is predominant whereas up to pH 3, they carry a cationic character, which contributes to the conditioning property and reduces the irritation potential of anionics.

Anionic surfactants are surface active agents that dissociate

into negative ions in aqueous solutions. This surfactant class is

the most widely used surfactant for laundry, dishwashing liquids,

and shampoos due to its excellent cleaning and foaming properties.

Anionic surfactants are particularly good at removing residues

from fabrics.

Nonionic surfactants are surface active agents which do not

dissociate into ions in aqueous solutions. They are widely used as

detergents because they dissolve in most hard water. In addition to

their good detergency, nonionic surfactants show excellent solvency,

low foam properties and chemical stability.

EMERSENSE® amindoamines are used as intermediates in the

synthesis of surfactants, such as cocamidopropyl betaine (CAPB) and

cocamidopropylamine oxide. They are suitable for personal care products

including soaps, shampoos, and cosmetics. These surfactants with positively

charged heads have good conditioning properties and can be used in

cleansing products both for the skin and the hair. They are also an anti-static

agent. They are generally considered to be safe when used in small amounts

in water-based formulas.

It is commonly used as an emollient and moisturiser in skincare

and toiletry products, delivering velvety skin feel.

It also acts as a dispersing agent for UV filters and pigment

binding agents for decorative cosmetics. It provides a dry-slip

feel similar to some silicone products.

2. Indignation angle from vertical. Larger value represents higher slip.

3. Number of hours for test emollient begins secondary oxidation. Larger value represents better oxidation stability.

4. Proportion of Limonene remaining in test emollient after 5 hours at 45°C, relative to squalane; measured by gas chromatography. Higher value represents better fragrance fixative ability.

5. Corneometer value divided by TEWL value measured by Tewameter. Larger value represents better moisturising.

6. Measurement taken by Sebumeter. Higher value represesnts higher penetration.
