I coach to assist young people in their efforts to
build a culture that is relentlessly focused on
sacrificially loving each other as they passionately
work to be their very best.
WHY DO I COACH?
VISION STATEMENT
Our Program will: Be a Family!
Always COMPETE!
Have a growth mindset!
Give our Best!
Live Like Champions!
LIVE LIKE CHAMPIONS!BV Tiger Football Program Philosophies
Cornerstone Philosophies: What We’re All About
1. Family – Forget About Me, I Love You: We are going to be there for each other.
We are going to support each other. We are going to encourage each other to greatness.
No matter what happens, no matter what adversity strikes and no matter what we go through:
we will get through anything and everything if we do it together.
We will be a Band of Brothers. We will be teammates for
four years, but we will be brothers for life. Above all, we will be “Family Always.”
2. Leadership: We are going to have an entire team-full of leaders.
Every person is going to learn to become a successful leader: everyone is
going to learn how to lead himself first, and then how to lead others. We will thrust leadership
upon you.
3. Self-Actualization: We are going to maximize our ability. We are going to make
the most of our talents, our opportunities, and our impact on the field and in the classroom.
We are going to become everything we are capable of becoming. We are going to maximize
our potential and make the most of ourselves and our lives.
4. Consistent Character: We are going to dictate our own attitudes and actions.
We are going to have a great attitude and give a great effort at all times, regardless of the
circumstances, regardless of the opponent, regardless of the scoreboard.
Core Virtues of Tiger Football•To strengthen the LEGACY and TRADITION of Excellence by Consistent and

Edited Seniors 2018
“The Culture precedes positive
results. It doesn’t get tacked on as an
afterthought on your way to the
victory stand. Champions behave like
champions before they’re champions;
they have a winning standard of
performance before they are winners”
-Legendary Coach Bill Walsh

“The Tiger Football family is incredibly
welcoming. We are “transplants”, we moved
here our son’s sophomore year. From Day 1,
the coaches and players made Grant a part of
their family and the parents made us feel as if
we have always been a part of this special unit.
This experience we have had as Tigers will be
cherished. It really is so much more than just
football, it is family.”
Brooke & Joey King - Parents
Grant King, Class of ‘19
“I play college football now, and when
Coaches, other players or football fans ask
where you played high school football and
your say Blue Valley, they always comment
on what a great program that I was able to be
apart of. This makes me even more proud to
have been a Tiger.”
AJ Totta
Class of ‘16
Many teams try to rally around the words “family” and “tradition”, where at BV these words are the internalized core of our foundation. You always knew you were playing for more than just your teammates on the field. All you have to do is look at our sidelines and stands to see the former players and community always at our side supporting us.
Luke Bernard Class of ‘18
Even after you graduate you are still
family. You come back and watch our
brothers who were watching us when
we were playing. Tradition.
Once a Tiger. Always a Tiger.
Ricky Williams
