Tony Corbin takes a look at what’s in store for visitors First decade of great new ideas Last year Packaging Innovations, and the colocated shows, once again saw increased numbers in both exhibitor and visitor attendance. The event’s combination of topical debates, great speakers and aisles of eyecatching innovation brought in over 6,000 visitors over the twodays, up by almost 1,000 since 2013. In 2015 the easyFairsorganised event, in its 10th year, will consist of three major show concepts: Packaging Innovations, which incorporates Contract Pack and Ecopack; Label&Print, which focuses on two major growth areas within the packaging industry; and Empack, highlighting the latest machinery and technology. The event will feature over 350 exhibitors specialising in all aspects of packaging from materials and design, to machinery, new technologies and equipment. Here are just some of those who will be occupying stands with their innovations. Packaging Innovations Benson Group’s (Stand A30) team of designers will also be on hand to impress visitors with their approach to the possibilities of carton board packaging. On each day of the show, visitors will be able to enjoy three live demonstrations of Masterchef winner Dhruv Baker’s creations served in Benson’s range of carton tray packaging. They can browse carton packaging designs for meal solutions, produce, luxury gifting, beverage and whiskies and spirits. Throughout the show, the team will be guiding visitors through their range of packaging solutions and “hot off the press” print techniques, which are making their debut to the industry.
