Year 1/2 Year 1/2 are lucky enough to have Mrs Bush this week. Spelling is the sound “p” for pig, “pp” for slipper, “r” for robot and “rr” for carrot. In Maths the unit area will be completed with an assessment task. The Science unit on using different materials will also be completed with an assessment task. For Geography the children will be able to present their poster on the rainforest to the class. We wish everybody a safe and healthy holiday. We hope everybody comes back refreshed and free from coughs and germs. It is a perfect time to refresh your childs pencil case with coloured pencils, an eraser, glue stick, lead pencils and a ruler. Please make sure all items are labelled correctly.

Kindergarten Welcome to Week 10! We made it. Kindergarten have certainly had a busy term and have made out-standing progress, especially in Reading and Writing activities. I am so proud of their achievements. This week we will look at “ch” as in cheese and its close friend “sh” as in ship. Kindergarten will have a Homework Rewards Afternoon this week for completing and handing in their homework each week this term. We have been using our new Chromebooks; learning to log in, navigate the touch pad mouse and log on to Reading Eggs. Thank you Mr Newberry for organising the delivery of our Chromebooks. Remember we have a Mufti Day this Friday for our last day of term. There will be no Primary Assembly this week. Kindergarten will host the assembly first week back at school next term. Have a great last week of term and enjoy your break.

Dress warmly!

In the classroom this week we have been learning about number lines and multiplication strategies in Maths. In Writing we are finishing off our Information Reports using Google Slides. It sounds like Year 3/4 have certainly enjoyed using the Chromebooks to publish their texts. Our Science topic 'Wrap it up' has led us to discuss various materials and their properties. I have had a wonderful term with Year 3/4 and we have enjoyed learning together. I hope everyone has a fun, happy and safe holiday. See you in Term 3!

Hot Chip Day Thank you to everyone who supported the Secondary Excursion Fundraiser and bought hot chips/wedges last Tuesday. We had a very successful day raising over $500 . This money will go towards purchasing beanies for students to wear on the snow. A massive thank you to Miss Enks and her wonderful team on the day. The preparation before, cooking and serving on the day and cleaning up is very much appreciated. Without generous workers these events are impossible.

Secondary Excursion Our second deposit for our Snow excursion is now overdue. Please pay at the Front Office if you have not already done so. A reminder of the payment plan is listed below. We have only 10 weeks left. A wood raffle has been organised to help reduce costs, please support this raffle by buying a ticket. All proceeds go directly to the student’s final payment.

We would like to thank the Warrumbungle Shire Council for approving our application for community funding. The donation they have given has enabled the Club to purchase new netballs, footballs, netball bibs and first aid kits. Talk to your coaches over the next couple of weeks as some will offer a training day in the holidays.
