SpellingsSuffix -ment.

This week we are looking at the suffix – mentWrite out the words below ready to use one of our practice methods.

we take away the ‘e’ and add the suffix ‘ment’. The word is spelt argument.

LO: To adverbial openers.

We’re going to add describe what happened in ‘The Snail and the Whale’ but using adverbial openers to make our writing more interesting. We can’t always start with ‘The’ or ‘Then’. We can start our sentences with adverbs (describing how something happens using the suffix –ly).

busy and require little preparation. Here are some

examples that can be done indoors or

outside. Alternatively, you

can create a scavenger hunt

together and have a mini-competition to

find things.
