WORLD MISSION SUNDAY VOICES for MISSION
Today, with Catholics of the world, we are called to
offer, at this Eucharistic celebration, our prayers
and our generous financial support, through The
Society for the Propagation of the Faith, to
continue the mission of Jesus. Today we “speak
up” through our prayers and personal sacrifices for
our brothers and sisters in the Missions. As
always, your prayers are your most treasured gift
to the Missions. Your prayers and financial help,
offered today, WORLD MISSION SUNDAY,
support mission priests, religious Sisters and
Brothers, and lay catechists who are Christ’s
witnesses to a world so in need of His healing love
and peace. Please put your envelope in regular
collection basket.
UPDATE ON DASH FOR CASH
Our Dash for Cash was a total success, including the Polka Dance. We made a net of
$35,334 after all expenses. This will help our parish and school to be able to meet our
financial obligations. We are looking into the possibility of having another Polka Dance
in early 2019. Please watch future bulletins for more information. .
DEPUTY K9 LINCOLN’S 2nd BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION
An Omelet Breakfast Fundraiser for Deputy K9
Lincoln will be held this Sunday, October 21st, 8:00
a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Pinconning K C Hall.
Pinconning Township purchased and donated K9
Lincoln to the Bay County Sheriff Department. All
proceeds are for the care and maintenance of
Deputy K9 Lincoln.
Eternal Rest grant unto him, O
Lord, and let your perpetual light
shine upon him.
REMEMBER IN YOUR PRAYERS
Please remember in your prayers Raymond
Gerald (Jerry) Miller, son of Ray and Marie Miller,
who passed away recently. May the soul of Jerry
and all the faithful departed, through the mercy of
God, rest in peace.

FROM THE DESK OF DEACON GARY It has been noted that every Catholic household should have a Catholic Bible and the Catechism of the
Catholic Church. This week we will continue our discussion about the contents of the Catechism of the
Catholic Church.
Faithful to the Catechism of Pius V the Catechism is arranged into four parts:
Part One: The Profession of Faith
Part Two: The Sacraments of Faith
Part Three: The Life of Faith
Part Four: Prayer in the Life of Faith
The Christian mystery is the object of 1)faith; it is celebrated and communicated in 2) liturgical actions; it is
present to enlighten and sustain the children of God by their 3) actions; it is the basis for our 4) prayer, the
privileged expression of which is the Our Father, and it represents the object of our supplication, our praise
and our intercession.

ALL SOULS DAY REMEMBRANCE
ENVELOPES
All Souls Day is a time to remember our loved ones
who are no longer with us. Our parish invites you
to remember your loved ones this All Souls Day.
Those being remembered will be prayed for and
listed in the prayer intention book for that week.
Please print the names of these people and those
you wish to remember on the envelope you
received in your monthly packet. If you misplaced
your envelope, you may place your intentions in a
white envelope with intentions listed on back
marked “All Souls” and place it in the collection
basket or drop it off at the parish office by Monday,
October 29th.
ALL SOULS MEMORIAL MASS Our annual All Souls Mass will be held Friday, November 2nd at 7:00 p.m. We will again remember and
celebrate all those who were honored with a Mass of Christian burial from our church during the past
year. This is a beautiful candlelight service which for many will be a great comfort and closure to their
loss. We would like to include, members of your immediate family, that have also died since last October
but were not buried from our parish. Their name will not be included on the banner that will hang up front
for the month of November, but we will call off their name and a candle will be carried forward by a family
member, as we call the names of those from our parish listed on the banner. If you would like your loved
one included in this special remembrance Mass, and they have passed on within the last year, please call
the parish office at 879-2141 and give us the name of the person to be included on our list.
ALL SAINTS DAY
The feast of All Saints is Thursday, November
1st. We will have a school Mass at 8:45 a.m.
and an evening Mass at 7:00 p.m. All Saints is a
special feast day on which Catholics celebrate all
the saints, known and unknown.
While most saints have a particular feast day on
the Catholic calendar (usually, though not
always, the date of their death), not all of those
feast days are observed. And saints who have
not been canonized-those who are in Heaven,
but whose sainthood is known only to God-have
no particular feast day. In a special way, All
Saints Day is their feast.
At our 7:00 p.m. Mass we will need two lectors
and 2 EMHC. This Mass will be held at HTP St.
Michael Church. If you can help, please contact
Kim Hartley or call the office 879-2141.
