GOOD NEWS: Holy Family will once again have a Deacon this summer, ROB JOHNSON, whose is from Resurrection Parish in Illiopolis. He arrives June 1st.

DEAR HOLY FAMILY PARISHIONERS: This Saturday evening, April 29, at 4:30 Mass, our 2nd graders will celebrate their First Holy Commun-ion. It is a parish celebration, a time for all of us to re-joice. We all celebrate with our young people who will re-ceive Jesus in Holy Communion for the very first time. These young people become part of our worshiping com-munity in a fuller way now---they are able to be nour-ished with the Body & the Blood of Jesus. We here at Holy Family join in their joy & congratulate them, & we pledge our prayers for them as they take another step in growing closer to the Lord. Their celebration can call us to a greater appreciation of the Eucharist in our lives. Are we thankful for the gift of Holy Communion? Are we faithful in coming to Mass each weekend to receive Holy Communion? What if Holy Communion wasn’t available---would we be upset? Do we reverently receive Communion? Let us all grow in our Eucharistic faith during this Easter Season. Let us pray for our 2nd graders. Let us pray for those who are not at the Lord’s Table with us---may they return soon. Sacrament of Baptism Arrangements for Baptisms are made by calling the parish office. Participation at the Baptismal Preparation Class for parents is a requirement for the celebration of the sacrament.

Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) Classes for those interested in joining the Catholic faith begin in the fall of each year and continue through the Easter season. Please call Sr. Janet to inquire about the sessions.
