20th ANNUAL DAY REPORT 2019‐20 Esteemed President of the function Mr.Jose Kannampilly , Chairman Holy Grace Academy, Distinguished Chief Guest Mr.Saiju Kurup, Cine Artist, Guest of honour Dr. M. Abdul Salam, Former Vice Chancellor of Calicut University
Respected Directors, PTA President Mr. E.N.Vasudevan, PTA Executive Committee members, worthy parents, well wishers, family members of Board of Directors, dedicated team members and my beloved Graceans. Annual Day is the culmination and stock taking of year long preparation of a School. It is also the occasion of get‐together and rejoicing for the entire School fraternity. It is spanned for two days ie.13 December (PKG‐ Std. IV) and today for the classes (Std V – XII). The first day with 1390 students performed on stage and Second day with 1185 except Board classes such as Std. X & XII
Genesis of the School
In 2000 the School had a humble beginnings with just 135 students and 15 team members has become a family of more than 3050 students and 338 team members.
A. AIMS AND OBJECTIVES: • To impart education having global standards with innovative practices. • To become a path maker for the young generation by rejuvenating the
moribund values. • The 3 way process in education ie Formation, Information and
Transformation to be accomplished. • To form “Good Children” not mere “Smart Ones”. • To transform our children into ‘Total Quality Students’ (TQS) – so as to cater to global requirements.
• Above all, our stakeholders deserve to get back ‘Human beings with substance and good character’.
B. ADMINISTRATIVE HIERARCHY The Board of Directors consisted of 32 Directors out of which 16 from abroad. The office bearers viz. Chairman, Vice Chairman, Secretary, Joint Secretary , Finance Director, Transport Director, Director cum Co‐ordinator are directly involved in the administration of the school. The Principal is assisted by a team of 09 Vice Principals including Inclusive Education,Co‐scholastic and a Head mistress for Pre‐Primary. The hostel administration is looked after through a team of two Wardens and two Matrons monitored by the In‐ charge of Hostels, Director cum‐ Co‐ordinator under the guidance of Principal. The Controller of Exam is to co‐ordinate all Evaluations viz,

weekly Tests, Periodic Exams , Term Exams with the assistance of Teaching Staff and a team of Floor Managers. C. Achievements of the Academic Year 2019‐20
A stress free and student friendly campus which meet the requirements for “Happiness Curriculum” . A team of 12 Section Heads, 12 HoD’s with 10 Special Educators, 22 Co‐curricular Trainers and committed 140 Subject Teachers facilitate us to fulfill the academic and co‐curricular endeavors.
Curriculum The teaching learning process at Holy Grace Academy has always been an innovative experience for the students in an invigorating and challenging ambience as per the latest guidelines of CBSE . A stress free atmosphere prevails in the campus to meet the requirements of Happiness curriculam. The Monthly Meeting of Teaching Staff (MMTS) facilitate us to introspect and retrospect the various aspects of the formation of students placed under our care. All the Section Heads, Head of the Departments and Staff Secretary are to put up their specific suggestions and innovative ideas in writing to the Principal prior to the monthly meeting and are incorporated into the day today functioning of the school along with the specific suggestions from team members during the meeting.
The responsibilities are delegated at Vice Principals’ level such as Pre Primary, Junior Primary, Senior Primary, Junior Middle School, Senior Middle School, Secondary and Senior Secondary. A separate Inclusive Education with 10 Special Educators and Vice Principal functions so as to cater to the needs of ‘differently abled students’. The co‐ scholastic Vice Principal is to co‐ ordinate the entire co‐scholastic activities of the school with a team of 11 part time teachers and 13 full time teachers. The academic activities are integrated with the active involvement of 12 HOD’s and the submission of monthly report to the Principal. Every team member is given a dignified space in the system to ensure their optimum output.

2. Mast. Rohan Paul VI B got First, Ms. Agna N Seejo V C secured second and Mast. Adithya K VIII E won Third in the National Invitational Karate Championship.
3. Mast.Chels J Jaison of VI D and Mast. Charlie J Jaison of IV E won silver medals in South Zone Judo Championship held in Bangalore and participated in the Nationals too. g. Remarkable achievements of Faculty members beyond the campus in 2019‐2020

2. Academic Council of Science Olympiad Foundation has bestowed the Best Teacher Award to Mrs.Latha M (Maths) in Kerala Zone for the SOF International Mathematics Olympiad 2018‐19. She was awarded a trophy and cash prize of Rs.5,000/‐
3. Mrs. Jimse Jose (Maths Teacher) was selected into State Council of Hindustan Scouts & Guides and adjudged as the Best Camp Performer in the Teachers Training Programme held at Calicut from 06 December to 08 December 2019.

The perennial confidence building activities are being executed at two levels viz. Micro level (Zero Period Activities) and Macro level (Morning Assembly & School Functions). The continuous evaluation of all participants in Zero Period and Morning Assembly is forwarded to the Principal monthly. 7. NEW INITIATIVES OF 2019‐20 1) For the first time, 5 of our students from Std.IX & X were trained and empowered
to conduct a Press Conference independently in Ernakulam Press Club on 05 November 2019 prior to 5th Artscape.
2) 3 Teachers Ms. Sreelima, Ms, Jimse Jose, Ms. Sumi Majeed successfully completed Training for Hindustan Scouts and will be starting 3 troops. (Std. V, VI , VII & VIII ) .

15 X’mas card making Day Children are given opportunities to make greeting cards. Children exchanged Christmas cards and gifts on Christmas celebration with a Christmas friend.

20 Colours’ Day To identify the colours, to improve the child’s holistic development. Moreover to learn about the concept of colours and its significance.
21 Water melon Day To know about the fruit. This fruit Improves health, helps to hydrate the body.
22 Chikku Day(Sapota) It is an energy provider. Helps in digestion.
The other activities of Kindergarten are appended in the exclusive KG report by the H.M. 5) The School Counselor Mr.Bijil M Rajan took the initiative of preparing
Transactional Analysis Report of all Teaching Staff. It can facilitiate professional growth of team members.
6) Resonance, Kota, Rajasthan, a legend in Coaching classes for Medical and Engineering will be commencing classes from April 2020 for XI and foundation classes to VIII, IX & X under Holy Grace Career Excellence.
7) We have successfully organized 5th All Kerala Chess Championship on 30 November 2019 with more than 500 participants.
8) Debut Annual Sports for the entire staff will be held in May during our Annual Orientation Programme as a distress tool, stimulating agent and binding force for the Gracean Family.
8. Infrastructural Initiatives:‐ 1. All the 88 class rooms are digitilised and 3 classrooms with interactive panel
boards. 20 new digital classroom are added this year. 2. A new Multipurpose Auditorium with 15000 sq. ft is under construction likely to be
completed soon in connection with our vicennial Jubilee. It can accommodate Roller Skating, combined assembly, common celebrations and Annual Day.

Conclusion I express my profound gratitude to the entire Director Board for the substantial support. A special word of thanks to our Chief Guest and Guest of Honour for sparing their valuable time with us and sharing the thoughts.
