Hello! Thank you so much for joining us for a slightly different start to the 2020-21 Holy Family Theatre Season! This season, my first for Holy Family, is all about Fairytales. In a year of unknowns and changes, I wanted to get back to the stories that kept us going as children, to the stories of hope and change that guided us to the people we are today (plus, everyone could do with a little more magic in their lives these days!). We kick off with Orange is the New Glass by Tyler Dwiggins, a modern take on a fairytale that
follows our fairytale princesses as they realize there’s more to life than being a storybook character. The best thing about this play is how the cast and crew have thrown themselves into the world of Orange is the New Glass; I couldn’t have asked for a more focused, talented, and dedicated group to bring this play to life. I hope what you see on screen reflects the hard work they brought to every single rehearsal. What is unique about this production is that we have an all-female cast, and I love it. I want them to show you how incredible a group of women can be!
Looking ahead to the rest of the season, we will be writing and creating our own show to compete in the MSHSL One-Act Competition. What is important to me as a director is not only showing our students the different types of work out there, but that one can also be a theatre artist in their own right. Theatre isn’t just about acting; it’s about tech, writing, and stage management behind the scenes, and that’s what we’ll be exploring throughout the season and beyond! I know many of you were expecting to start with a musical, and fear not, the musical is coming in Spring 2021, and we will be doing Sondheim’s Into The Woods! I hope to meet even more of you as we progress through the season. This play is just the start of something magical. Enjoy the show!

and the Three Little Pig-arazzi chase celebrities. But when Cinderella leaves her self-absorbed prince and winds up in jail with an unlikely girl squad, she doesn’t just cause a sensation--she
starts a revolution. Audiences will enjoy this warmhearted comedy full of clever characters.

Special Thanks from Anna Crace There are so many people who helped in large and small ways throughout this production. Many people (too many to mention individually) have given their time and talent to help Orange is the New Glass come alive and we are forever in
your debt. I’d like to offer my special gratitude to the incredible parents who helped create the set you’re about to see, particularly Brad and Jeanne Spoden, Eric and Danielle Watkins, Christy Gartlets, and Neil Theis. They have created something beautiful,
and I can’t wait for them to see it come to life!
A very special thank you to senior Haley Klahsen, who has gone above and beyond for both the production and the department for this show. In the final days of rehearsal, Gabi Corona and Sean Silva joined our team to assist with the cast
makeup. Thank you for your help, Gabi and Sean!
Thank you to Holy Family staff members Brad Perrin-Smith, Brendan Meier, and Laura Podergois for making the live streaming possible and for the creation of this
program and other promotional materials.
