Do you know someone who would make a good priest or sister? Are you talking to your children about the possibility of a religious vocation? Be courageous in responding to the call of God and encouraging others

to do so as well.

“We are his people, the sheep of his flock” Psalm 100.

Today is Good Shepherd Sunday and Jesus is our Good

Shepherd. This Sunday we are invited to pray for Voca-

tions to the Priesthood and Religious Life. Jesus is our

Good Shepherd who calls each one of us to “hear His

voice” and follow Him. It takes a lot of trust to follow

our leader. We also need the gift of faith and confidence.

Let us continue to ask God to bless Holy Family with all

kinds of vocations to serve the Church. We pray especial-

ly for those who by name have been called to Priesthood

to serve the Church. Also let us continue to pray for all

our priests and religious during this time. Today, I want

to encourage you to pray for all of our families, especially

our children and youth. We pray especially for so many

of them who soon will receive their sacraments of the Eu-

charist and Confirmation. Never stop praying: trust God’s

mercy. Keep faith in the family. Let us also pray for

good strong leaders to keep justice and peace in our

world. May we also continue to have our Lord Jesus as

our Good Shepherd always leading our Church as His

flock. Pray also for vocations to come from Catholic

families. Blessings in the Lord Jesus,

Hoy es el Domingo del Buen Pastor y Jesús es el Buen

Pastor. De hecho este domingo nos invitan a orar por las

vocaciones al Sacerdocio y a la vida Religiosa. Jesús es

nuestro Buen Pastor quien llama a cada uno de nosotros

“ha escuchar Su voz” y ha seguirlo. Toma mucha confian-

za para seguir nuestro líder. También necesitamos el don

de la fe. Continuemos pidiendo a Dios por la Sagrada Fa-

milia para que sea bendecida con toda clase de vocaciones

en el servicio. Oremos especialmente por aquellos que por

nombre han sido llamados a servir en la Iglesia. También

continuemos orando por todos nuestros sacerdotes y reli-

giosos durante este tiempo. Hoy pongámonos en oración

orando por toda la familia en especial por los jóvenes y

niños. En particular por aquellos quienes por la fe recibi-

rán los sacramentos de la Eucaristía y Confirmación en

estos días venideros. Nosotros somos responsable por to-

mar acción sobre este asunto. Que sean líderes justos para

llenar un mundo más justo y pacedero. Continuemos si-

guiendo a Jesús nuestro Buen Pastor quien siempre proteja

y guie a su rebaño – nuestra Iglesia. Oremos para ser bue-

nos líderes especialmente de nuestras familias. Oremos por

las Vocaciones Sacerdotales y religiosas. Bendiciones en

Eagle Project Tamale Sale Fundraiser

Delivery and sale will be after all Masses on Saturday,
