“Pastor’s Weekend Message”

“Blest be God the Father and the Only Begotten Son of God, and also the Holy Spirit; for he has

shown us his merciful love.” Blessings in the Holy Names of Father, Son and Holy Spirit! This week, we celebrate the great Mystery of the Most Holy Trinity. It is God’s life revealed to the world. In fact, we are a Trinitarian people because God created us (Father), redeemed and saved us (His Son Je-sus) and made us holy (Holy Spirit). We also must realize that God is deeply involved in our lives. God is always with us. Over all, God loves each one of us. His love is everlasting! The mystery of Three Persons as One God is what we believe. Our Christian faith teaches that God is life, truth and holiness. In his presence, the Holy Trinity gives life to the Church. For this coming weekend…...we thank God for all natural fathers who are called to be holy. The same call is no less than ours to be holy. Let’s pray for all dads. They have a huge responsibility and must express their love for their spouses, children and show it in their personal life. May the Lord bless them. In a special way, we thank Fr. “Bendito sea Dios, Padre, Hijo y Espíritu Santo, porque nos ha mostrado un amor inmenso.”

¡Bendiciones en los Santos Nombres del Padre, Hijo y el Espíritu Santo! Hoy celebramos el gran misterio de la Santísima Trinidad. La vida de Dios se revela al mundo. Somos de hecho un Pueblo Trinitario porque Dios nos Creo (Padre), nos Salvo (Hijo) y nos Santifica (Espíritu Santo). Sobretodo Dios nos ama a cada uno de nosotros. Creemos que Dios da vida y es vida. Nuestra Iglesia esta viva porque vivimos, somos y nos movemos en el misterio y don de la Santísima Trinidad. Solo en la vida eterna comprenderemos el misterio trinitario. Esta semana también agradecemos a Dios por todos los Padres de Familia quienes están llamados a ser santos no menos que nosotros, pero todos iguales. Ellos tienen una gran responsabilidad por sus esposas, hijos, hijas y su vida propia. Que el Señor los bendiga hoy. ¡Felicidades Papas! Doy también un agradecimiento especial al Padre Editho por todo su ministerio en la Sagrada Familia. Dios lo bendiga siempre. CRS RICE BOWL DONATIONS Thank you for your gift/contribution to Catholic Relief Services. We were able to donate $450.93. Your contributions are essential to the efforts to alleviate human suffering and ease the burdens of overwhelming poverty overseas.

HOLY ROSARY SOCIETY

The Holy Rosary Society is dedicated to saying the Rosary every Wednesday in lifting up our Priests and Deacon and the Pro-Life mission up in prayer. It is an online email ministry and there are two meetings a year of fellowship and sharing. God-given talents are?” Faith Revolution, the young adult group at St Patrick’s Church in Ripon, would like to invite all young adults, Catholic and non-Catholic, to our conference on July 8th

beginning at 10:30am. The topic will be “Googling God: Finding God’s Purpose for Us”. Two wonderful speakers from our Diocese, Father Cesar Martinez (Cathedral of the Annunciation) and John Sablan, will help to illumi-nate a path toward the purpose God has for each one of us. Annual Family Picnic This Sunday, June 11th

Family will provide the ribs and hot dogs. Please bring your favorite dish to share. We will have a “Chili Cook Off” and a “Cactus Salad Cook Off”. Do you make the best Chili or Cactus Salad? Bring your dish and enter it

into our contest and let our judges decide! This will also be an appreciation to Father Editho who will no longer be at our Parish. Please be sure to come

and say goodbye to him. Maybe he will sing for us!

EDUCACION RELIGIOSA Nuestro programa de educación religiosa tiene la necesidad de 2 catequistas para enseñar el sacramento de la reconciliación. Esta clase se le enseña a los niños que tienen de 7 a 9 años. Como voluntaria se le pidieran dos horas a la semana para enseñarles esta clase. También tenemos la urgencia de 3 maestros o catequistas para enseñar al grupo de jóvenes del primer y segundo año de Confirmación. This is Fr. Editho’s last weekend with us!

We want to be as hospitable and grateful to all of the priests who have served at Holy Family and those who will come and serve in the future. With grateful hearts, we thank Father Editho for his pastoral work at Holy Family. This will be the last weekend that Fr Editho will be with us. He will continue with his pastoral work as Chaplain of the Catholic hospitals in our area. We are grateful to Fr Editho for his life and ministry and at the same time we say goodbye to him. Please come to our Family Picnic this Sunday, June 11 at 2:00pm. Bring a dish to share for the potluck! See you there!

Our Fiesta in Honor of Our Lady of San Juan de Los Lagos will be on August 13. We ask you to help us with the raffle tickets. The first raffle prize is $2,500 dollars; the second $1,000 and the 3rd is $500. We ask that each family take 10 tickets to sell. Know that for every 10 tick-ets that you sell, you will be given a ‘golden ticket’ which enters you into another raffle with a prize of $250 dollars.

La fiesta en honor a la Virgen de San Juan de los Lagos será el 13 de agosto. Les pedimos que nos ayuden con los boletos de la rifa. El 1° premio es de $2,500, el 2° de $1,000 y el 3° de $500.
