Summer @ First ChurchExcited does not begin to tell you how we feel about the summer Sunday Schedule! We will offer a dedicated Sunday School hour between our Sanctuary Worship Service and Fresh Bread. We know you will be eager be part of this new opportunity. This schedule allows you to choose your worship service and attend Sunday school. Here are some details:

8:45 AM: Sanctuary Worship Service9:45 AM: Sunday School For Everyone10:45 AM: Fresh Bread Worship Service

Youth will explore the 12 characteristics of Jesus, and how to emulate them, in our 12-week summer series, “Live Like You.” Each week they will also take a closer look at a disciple of Jesus, as an example of how to practically live like Him and follow Him whole heartedly. Their time will consist of a brief study using examples from scripture, followed by discussion, and games to help memorize key verses and re-emphasize the lessons. Join us this summer and take the “Live Like You” challenge! Youth Sunday School will begin at 9:45 AM and will end at 10:35 AM. Youth can worship as a family in the Sanctuary or at Fresh Bread!

Adults, you don’t need Starbucks! Enjoy coffee, tea and snacks in the coffee fellowship area before going into the Sanctuary to join Sermon Café. (No snacks and beverages in the Sanctuary please.) Each week, Mitch and Lina will facilitate discussion about the morning’s sermon. Life application, group and individual interpretation, and Bible understanding are just three of the possibilities. With the opportunity for everyone to be in worship, hopefully, you will be able to take these discussions with you when you leave to consider with family, friends or fellow volunteers throughout the week. The more people who bring their thoughts to the café, the better our discussions will be. It will be meaningful, lively and fun. Each week we will be able to also look at the upcoming sermon’s scripture and title. The choice is yours for your worship time.
