The Walpole Arms, Itteringham, dating back to the 18th century is a traditional country pub, sitting within the heart of north Norfolk’s picturesque countryside. cover. The phones are diverted directly to the vet on call as we know that clients appreciate a familiar voice at the end of the phone 24 hours a day who knows their pets and if treatment is necessary then they prefer to travel to their own practice to be seen.

Touch Rugby: Holt RFC started an informal touch rugby session twelve years ago. Lack of experience is no barrier, it is open to everyone, male and female, non players, current players, ex players, youth and colts. We have an excellent referee who enters into the spirit of the game, so for fun, friendship and fitness, join us on Thursday evenings throughout the year, we start at 6.30pm.

You will be made really welcome, to what is one of the fastest growing sports in the world. Touch is open to everyone, male or female, aged 15 and above.

Holt RFC is now a designated O2 Touch Centre.

The Club Host Co-ordinator is now John Winterton and he will arrange a rota for the season. His telephone number is: 07780 708602

• Please help the Club by giving up one Saturday afternoon during the season to be the Club Host. It could be when you are also at a Club Pre Match Luncheon. Your duties are listed below:

• Welcome the referee, show him the changing room and make sure he knows where things are. After the game make sure he has a drink and a meal which the Club pays for.

• Be available for any problems generally, and welcome any new members and guests, and visiting spectators.

• Make sure you liaise with the relevant physio to help with any first aid requirements.

• On busy afternoons, help to clear up after a sponsored lunch, and collect glasses to help the bar staff during the afternoon.

• Help to get the players to the after match meals when the kitchen is ready.

• When the 2nd XV or 3rd XV are at home, without the 1st XV, make sure they have a match ball, and collect all Team match balls after the game.

• All games on a saturday will have first aid cover.

• All games/training on a Sunday will have first aid cover.

• The new Physio Room will be available on both days during playing times.

Clubs are reminded of their corporate responsibility to maintain good order and discipline both on and of the pitch, aided by the following:

• Roping off of pitches on two sides and the provision of technical areas.

• Provide a referee in age group games who is suitably qualified and capable of managing the game at that level.

• Provide a Duty Officer (Club Host) who shall be responsible for the behaviour of those on the touchline. The Technical Area comes under the sphere of the referee but any assistance from the Home Club Duty Officer would make his task much easier.

The Club sincerely thanks Ellen O Malley and her family for donating the Defibrillator, and to Neville Drewry and Orange Fox Electrical for fitting it. It is situated between the two viewing platforms pitchside, and is available to all of the Local Community.
