Steps:

STEP 1: Cover Styrofoam ball with MC-1 and needle felt to Styrofoam ball.

Needle felt white MC-1 onto ball for eyes, insert pupils. Using yellow MC-1

felt a beak and attach to ball.

STEP 2: Needle felt wings and add the breast and wings to the owl.

STEP 3: Make a Merino Top thread by pulling a small piece and rolling it

between your hands (you may need to wet your hands a little).

Outline the eyes and make waves in the breast and on the wings to give the

appearance of feathers.

STEP 4: Needle felt ears in a triangle leaving the end that will attach

to the body raw. Attach the ears to the body of the owl.

STEP 5: Needle felt two green leaves and three small red balls for berries

and attach to the owl’s ear.

STEP 6: Cut approximately 30 inches of fishing line. Fold the fishing

line in half. At the bottom of the fishing line (at the fold) tie several

knots. String a large bead and three small beads through both

strands of the fishing line.

STEP 7: Thread a large needle with the fishing line. Starting from the

bottom of the owl insert the needle and pull the fishing line through to the

top of the owl.

STEP 8: Thread three small beads, one large bead and the offsetting

bead.

STEP 9: Split the fishing line and begin threading beads on each single

fishing line. Once you obtain the desired length, tie several knots and cut

remaining fishing line.

STEP 10: At the bottom of the owl cut the excess fishing line and

place a small dot of glue to hold the beads in place.
