The Purpose of this lectureStudents will understand :

    1) The cellular immune system as a part of innate immune system.

    2) Innate immune system consists of : Physico chemical barrier,

circulating molecule (complement) , cell (Macrophage, Natural

killer cell, monocyte, and granulocyte)and soluble mediators

    (cytokines).

    3) Phagocytosis proses inoling : Toll li!e receptor, opsonin, "ntigen

presenting cell ("P#) and cyto!ine production.

$) "ntigen presenting cell "P#) to T lymphocyte through the role of

    ma%or histocompatibility comple& ('#) and #luster of

    differentiation (#).

*) The role of natural !iller cells (+-cells).

) The relationship bet/een innate 0 adaptie immune system.

    In molecular biology,

    C!(cluster of differentiation$)

is a glycoproteinfound on the surface of

    immune cells such as :

    1. T helper cells,

    2. monocytes,

    3. macrophages, and$. dendriticcells.

    #$ is a co-receptorthat assists the T cell receptor(T#)

in communicating /ith an antigen-presenting cell.
