• Emulsify water into solvent borne alkyd resin formulations – Replace solvent with water
• Combination of high and low HLB• LoVOCoat Form 100, LoVOCoat Stable 100

• Chose EO/PO alkoxylates, but not optimal• Designed new molecule in required HLB range
– Patented reactive surfactant• Blend nonionic Maxemul 8201 and anionic

Epoxies
• Epoxy emulsions require HLB 16-17• High viscosity, sometimes solid• Atsurf 3969 combines 2 higher HLB
products
Waxes and mineral oils
• Emulsify waxes and mineral oils for wood protection
• Combination of Brij S2, Cirrasol G-1086, and Brij S20
Saturated PE
• Emulsify saturated polyester resins in water
• Blend of Brij C2 (50%) and Brij O20 (50%)
