We had our AGM on 21 /09/2014 at the Forest Hill Horticultural Centre. Our founding President Kam Leung was the Returning Officer. He was assisted by one of senior members Jimmy Lung. The results of the election are as follows: President: Michael Tse 1 st Vice President: Maria Hui 2 nd Vice President: Cecilia Tse Secretary: Ken Yan Assistant Secretary: Kendy Tat Treasurer: Emily Tang Assistant Treasurer: Charles Chan Membership Secretary: Lawrence Hui Immediate Past President: Kevin Yeap Committee members: Edward Chan Frankie Tang Charlie Wu Patrick Wu I would like to thank our Immediate Past President Kevin Yeap and Committee members for their effort, time and contribution for a successful 2013-14; especially amending the Club’s Constitution according to the requirements of the Association Incorporation Reform Act 2012. The Club’s Constitution is now known as the Hong Kong Club Incorporated Vic Rules. Together with our incoming committee, our vision is to take Hong Kong Club to a higher reputable level of recognition, we shall continue to promote members activities and recruit new members. I would like to specially thank Anthony Tung for organizing a demonstration of the fine art of traditional Chinese painting by the renowned Master Wang Dexin for our upcoming Sunday Activities on 19/10/2014. Hope you will make time and join us to welcome Master Wang and learn about traditional Chinese painting. More details about Master Wang are in this newsletter.     Event : Master Wang Dexin Chinese Painting Demonstration

    We are honoured to have Master Wang Dexin, a renowned painter in China visiting Australia in October coming to our club for a demonstration. He is the committee member of the first art Committee of China Museum Academy, a member of China Fine Artists Association, Director of China Craft Art Association, Honorary President and Guest Professor of China National Painting and Calligraphy Academy, the Vice President of China International Painting Academy, the Honorary Academician and Guest Professor of Royal Art Research Academy. He succeeded in painting Chinese traditional painting on glass and formed his own style. (His full biography is attached.) Date: Sunday 19th October 2014 Time : 3:30pm to 5:00pm Venue : Forest Hill Horticultural Centre 82 Jolimont Road, Forest Hill 3131 It will be followed by dinner with Master Wang Dexin and his wife at the Tai Pan Restaurant in Doncaster East. Members and family and friends are welcome to join in. The cost of the dinner will be shared by all who attend, except for our guests Master Wang and Mrs Wang.
