A network of educators advancing digital skills and web literacy through connected learning. Hive is both deeply local and massively global.
What is HIVE?

Organizations libraries, museums, schools and non-profit startups
Individuals educators, designers, community catalysts and makers
Together, they create learning opportunities for youth, design innovative practices and tools that build the field for greater impact, and contribute to their own professional development within an active community of practice.
Who is HIVE?

Anchor Provides drop-in sessions and/or stand-alone programs
Guide Provide program planning support, research, and evaluation
Connector Provides youth audiences for programs and/or program resources
Supporter Provides fiscal support for HIVE Cascadia programs
** In order to participate in HIVE Cascadia learning community, a partner must be “active” in one of the defined Type of Partnership Engagement. “Active” is defined by contributing to a minimum of two projects per year.
Partnership Engagement Types

1. For your organization write down: Ideas- related to current or future projects Resources – space, funding, training, LGBTQ friendly… Needs – transportation, computers, volunteers…
2. Choose one idea from this grouping that is “low hanging fruit”
3. Write your contact info on the bottom of at least two of each color post-it.
4. Survey the others’ “low hanging fruit”
5. Add post-its Pink if you DEFINITELY want to connect Blue if you are interested in knowing more Purple if you can offer advice
