Emin Hitay – Founder & Chairman

Emin Hitay, as the founder and Chairman of Hitay Investment Holdings, is one of the prominent entrepreneurs in Turkey who has actively participated in the creation, realization and incorporation of many innovative projects and business ideas in various ventures.

He started his career as a computer system operator when he was an undergraduate student at Ege University, then at the age of 22, in 1980; Hitay decided to continue his career as an entrepreneur and subsequently founded his first company. After working in various fields of the textile sector for eight years, in 1988, he moved into IT sector by founding Exim, which has brought the first Barcode systems to the Turkish market. In the following years, he has established new ventures in various industries, which has led to successful exits in some of them.

Emin Hitay is a member of TUSIAD (Turkish Industrialists and Businessmen Association) and TBD (Informatics Association of Turkey). Hitay, as the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Indonesia in Istanbul between 2008-2013 and in Antalya since 2014 after the opening of the Istanbul Consulate, is also the Chairman of DEIK Turkish-Indonesian Business Council.
