The boys sent t..Jere Nate Cahi 11, Jimmy Connolly, and Danny Griego. They didn/t expect to win anything. They Just deciced to go for the fun of it. They first had individual competitions. Nate won 2nd place in the math. Jimmy and Danny didn't receive a piace. but they both did very good. Af t e r the i n d i v i du a 1 competition, there was team competition in which 21 oi fferent schools competed. Hope lost in the second round, but they t..Jent back in because they had the most points in the first two rounds. They went into the championship round against St. Linus. with Mrs. Connoly screaming in the oieachers. They lost to St. Linus in a t 1 e-breaker by 1 question. They alI dlo very t..Jel 1. HOPE GETS ITS FIRST ACADEMIC TROPHY!

On Saturday, the 12th. Hope sent 3 eighth grade boys to St. Rita High School for an academic competition. The boys sent t..Jere Nate Cahi 11, Jimmy Connolly, and Danny Griego. They didn/t expect to win anything. They Just deciced to go for the fun of it.

They first had individual competitions. Nate won 2nd place in the math. Jimmy and Danny didn't receive a piace. but they both did very good.

"Dear me, " said old Mrs. Tuberman, as she looked at the body of Mr. Ha 1 I , her neighbor's nephew. She had discovered it as she walked out of a fancy restaurant. She called the professor right away and he came to the scene of the murder.

He examinee the body for a couple minutes. He concluded rhat Mr. Ha i 1 hacf'· been murderee Just m i~utes before Mrs . Tuberman had fauna . hi~ body. He went \ nt o the r~t·aurant and began questioning people.

The -f i_rst person, Mr. Geding, said that he was eating . dinner with Mr. Ha 1 1 • He said that Mr. Hall had to go out . into the car to get something. Before, . he had treatea Mr. Hall to a blueberry pie ~ He then said,"I noticed that Mr. Hall was turned around and ta 1 king to another person.
