22,000 BC – 21,000 BC – The Venus of Willendorf statuette was made and is one of the world’s oldest known sculptures. It represents motherhood and fertility.

Approx. 32,000 BC - Lion man of the Hohlenstein Stadel was made and is the oldest known zoomorphic statuette and 1 of the oldest known statues in the world. The statuette shows either a man with a lion’s head or a lion with humanized (anthropomorphic) features.

210 BC – The Terracotta Army of Xian were terracotta funerary sculptures depicting the armies of Qin Shi Huang, the first Emperor of China in Lintong District, Xi'an, Shaanxi province, China.

3100 BC – 2200 BC – Stonehenge is 1 of the oldest and most famous sculptures in the world. Its purpose is still unknown among archaeologists but theories about it include: Site of Healing, Burial ground, Observatory, Calendar, Site of Worship, Site of life-to-death transition ritual and still much more.

1453 – 1455 AD –The Magdalene Penitent is a wooden sculpture by the Renaissance Italian artist Donatello it was received with astonishment for its unprecedented realism.

1875 – Part of the Albert Memorial made by Henry Hugh Armstead. He made a total of 80 figures for the memorial at a rate of 10 figures per year.

2007 – Sound Wave by Jean Shin represents how music and technology move on; the previous form of either gets discarded. It is also supposed to represent all of man’s favourite music in 1 collection as well as a physical manifestation of the music.
