History of Oxford Bank June 17, 1884 Oxford Savings Bank is created by Gabriel Holbert and 18 associates. October 31, 1966 Oxford Savings Bank moves to it’s current residence at 60 S. Washington Street. January 12, 1884 Oxford Savings Bank moves to 9 S. Washington Street. May 2, 1973 The Lake Orion office opens at 1115 S. Lapeer Rd. Transactions were made out of a trailer while a permanent resident was constructed. September 16, 1976 The Addison-Oaks office opened, and was operated by four people. June 8, 1987 The Clarkston office opened at 7199 N. Main Street. Having purchased the building from Manufacturers Bank, the two banks operated for one month so customers could transfer accounts to Oxford Bank. October 1, 1990 The Ortonville Branch opens. August, 1995 The Dryden branch moves into its new building January, 2005 The Goodrich office is built. January, 2016 Oxford Financial Solutions, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Oxford Bank, is created. July 2, 1884 The transfer of assets from the Bank of Oxford to Oxford Savings Bank begins. January 22, 1923 Oxford Savings Bank moves to it’s third home at 1 N. Washington Street. 1971 Oxford Bank donates it’s old home on 1 N. Washington Street to the Village of Oxford, to be used by the NE Oakland Historical Society. July 17, 1975 Construction is finished on the Lake Orion office, and the first transaction in the new building is 1985 Oxford Savings Bank changes their name to Oxford Bank April 10, 1989 Due to increased loan volume, the Finance Center was built behind the Main branch at 64 S. Washington. January 23, 1995 Oxford Bank opens its fifth branch in Dryden, to fill the town’s banking void. Transactions were made out of a trailer while a permanent residence was constructed. 1999 Oxford Bank purchases 485 N. Lapeer Rd; the future home to the Operations Unit. July, 2005 Oxford Bank opens its eigth branch on Main Street in Davison. June, 2016 Oxford Bank implements Interactive Teller Machines, to replace the drivethru windows.
