Baleegh Hamdy (1926 - 1993)

He was born in Sohag city. He studied the musical sciences and laws. He started his career as a singer. he was influenced by sayed darwesh , abd-elwahab ,Mohamed el-sheriy and Mohamed fawzy . abd-elhaliem , um kolthoum and mohamed roshedy were most famous singers who chart his compositions.

1 -His concern with his rhythm and created rhythm structures

2 -Proficiency in the transactional modes 3 -Expressive compositional and good relation

between the poem and composition 4 -depending on the folk themes and made great

use of item

Mohamed Abd-Elwahab (1910 – 1991)

We was born in Bani ayass , abou kebeer , sharkia . then he moved to Cairo at bab el shaaria district . He was brought in a religious atmosphere he learnt Koran by heart, recite it and chart the glorious atmosphere. He was greatly affected by salama hegazy's musical and sayeed darwish and the former ones He got his cultural thinking from el akkad , shawky and taha hussien . He read a lot was greatly aware of the other cultures

The main characteristics of his music

1 -Expressing great what is mean by the poetic text

2 -Using modern instruments 3 -Concerning for the musical distributions

4 -Developing the method of composing lyrics

The samaeiy form

The samaeiy form is considered one of the distinguished foams in the Arabic music and consists of four thoughts ( khana ) and frequent sentence and consented to special tempo and the famous of that are samaeiy takel , samaeiy aksak and samaeiy dareg.

1 -the first though ) khana ( Performing the scale in slow tones with out any composition changes

2 -the second though ) khana ( To be near the first khana in it's characteristics but it is in one of the branches of the scale and it distinguished with few of changing marks and ending with the frequent sentence (tasleem)

3 -the third though ) khana ( It performing the high tones of the scale and ending with the frequent sentence (tasleem)

4 -the forth though ) khana ( It is performing of the scale in deferent rhythm and ending with the frequent sentence (tasleem)

5 -the tasleem That frequent sentence which repeated after the ending of each thought

The longa form

It is a small model of the samaeiy form as it's divided in to four thoughts and one frequent

sentence but some times consists of three thoughts and the first thought is to be the

frequent sentence and the longa is one of the light and fast forms and it is full of sudden composition changes in an attractive and

interesting style and jumping tones that show the player's skill

The tahmela form

It is subject form of group of instruments sharing together in performing a short beginning limit the scale of tahmela and then each player performs his own improvisation and he is free in that improvisation and he returns again to the basic tone with the other players and that form shows the skill

of the player in his free improvisation
