How do we decide what is important in history?

Person, event or object which:
A. Results in change and/or
B. Is revealing in some way
RESULTING IN CHANGE
Three things to consider:
Profundity
Quantity
Longevity
REVEALING
How a person or event sheds light on emerging issues in history or contemporary life
Links to greater narratives
ACTIVITY
Choose the 3 most important things that have happened in the history of humanity.
Why? What/who did it change? Did it reveal underlying issues?
GROUP ACTIVITY
