“BASILICA DE COVADONGA´´

- This is a religious temple, in concrete from the Catholic religion.

- Designated as basilica on 1901

- In 1777 a fire destroyed the temple. Then, it was decided to raise a new church as a monumental sanctuary, raising donations from all Spain. Its construction began one century later. The king Alfonso XII of Spain was interested in its construction.

“PALACIO DE LA MAGDALENA”

` - “El palacio de la Magdalena” is an early 20th-century palace located on the Magdalena Peninsula of the city of Santander.

- Construction of the palace was initiated in 1908 by the local government of Santander for the purpose of providing a seasonal residence for the royal family of Spain.

- The palace is also used in external shots for the Spanish TV series Gran Hotel.

The collegiate church of Santa Juliana de Santillana del Mar, autonomous community of Cantabria, to which it owes its name this Cantabrian town, it is one of the most representative Romanesque monuments of the region.

It was declared National Monument in 1889
