Make this a part of your Lenten Journey
“Bear your share of hardship for the gospel with the strength that comes from God.” For the early
Christians this could mean torture and execution. For most Christians today, enduring hardship for the gospel might include accepting
ridicule or mockery, or the suggestion that we lack
sophistication.
A Stewardship Thought
Entrance AntiphonRemember your compassion, O Lord, and your merciful love,
for they are from of old.Let not our enemies exult over
us. Redeem us, O God of Israel, from all our distress.
(Cf. Psalm 25 (24):6, 2, 22)

Reading from Today’s Mass Bear your share of hardship for
the gospel with the strength that comes from God.
He saved us and called us to a holy life, not according to our
works but according to his own design.

By God’s grace, Francis learned to see the face of God in the leper and to love what once he had despised. May God help us love the lepers of today.
