This morning we welcome Lee Barclay to our pulpit to bring God’s Word to us. Lee is a member of Olympia Christian Reformed Church and is licensed to exhort in the churches of Classis Pacific Northwest. He is a retired property and casualty actuary. Lee has been married to Connie for 42 years, and they have two adult sons and two grandchildren. There will be no Potluck today due to the Labor Day holiday. Leroy Schloemer thanks the congregation for the prayers and visits while he was hospitalized. He has a clean bill of health from his doctor except for a slight cough. Praise the Lord! Help is needed for the Sunday School Pancake Breakfast on September 10th: 2 people to make pancakes and 1 person to serve. Also, tables will need to be set up beforehand. Please contact Linda Lemke if you can help with this.

Church Directory: It is time to update the church directory. If you would like a new picture (or first picture) of your family for the directory, please see Sheri after the next few weeks’ services to get your picture taken. Also, new council members will need to have their pictures taken. Thanks for your help!

A Monthly Prayer Meeting will be held the first Wednesday of each month here at FCF at 6:30 pm, beginning September 6th. Please join with others in the congregation as we lift up our prayers and concerns during this time of transition in our church. Ladies Craft Night will be this Friday/Saturday. Please see bulletin insert for more information. RSVP to Linda Lemke by WEDNESDAY! HELP TO END HUNGER ONE STEP AT A TIME Let's stand (and walk) with people who commit to a hunger-free world. Join the 3.4 mile Skagit CROP Hunger Walk on Oct.1, at 2:00PM, beginning at Mount Vernon Christian School on Blackburn Rd. Let's be a people walking together to help end hunger one step at a time. Children’s Bulletins are available on the table by the door in the entry way for the younger children. Prayer Requests: Inserts are in the bulletin for prayer requests. If you have a request, please fill the insert out and place it in the offering basket when it comes around or the prayer box just outside the sanctuary. Help World Renew DRS Respond to Hurricane Harvey

Hurricane Harvey may be one of the worst flooding disasters in the

history of the United States.

Your donation is crucial to helping storm survivors who are least likely to receive adequate assistance in recovering from Hurricane Harvey. It is also an opportunity to share the love and hope of Christ in difficult times in people’s lives. Your gift to World Renew Disaster Response Services (DRS) helps Texans in the early days after the hurricane—and long after the initial, emergency response is done.

How will your gift be used?

In the weeks ahead, your gift will help World Renew cover the cost of sending volunteers to help clean out waterlogged homes so that people’s houses are livable until they can be repaired.

In the coming months, your gift will support teams of volunteers who meet face-to-face with storm survi-vors to assess their needs and coor-dinate an appropriate response with local recovery groups.

In the years ahead, your financial support will continue to repair homes that are damaged by Harvey. World Renew will provide opportu-nities for churches, families, schools, and groups to spend a week in Texas, repairing homes where it’s most needed.

World Renew will establish a long-term presence in communities of need, providing home repair and rebuilding for people who are not able to recover on their own, and reaching out to those who are struggling and bringing hope and help when it’s needed most.

Your donation to Hurricane Harvey 2017 through World Renew DRS makes a significant difference among people who can least afford to recover from this disaster.

Will you give generously to help today?
