Wheat bran extract is an extract fromthe biological protective filmsurrounding the wheat grain, and actsas a natural biological regulator. Itregulates physiological skindisturbances, while supplying the skinwith vital lipoids and balancingregeneration dysfunctions. It alsoregulates the pH balancing system andimproves the skin's protective function.Thanks to its content of unsaturatedessential fatty acids, which are optimallybiologically effective, wheat bran extractregulates the condition of dry skin,improving its resistance capacity.

Wheat proteins. We employ wheatproteins of particular purity with a highmolecular weight. They have a skin-firming effect and reduce the depthand number of lines thus smoothingthe skin's surface.

White tea (Camelia sinensis) iscultivated in the high mountain regionsof Fujian in China. Only the youngestleaves, still covered with short whitehairs, are selected and picked,steamed and dried. Thanks to thisparticularly gentle process, white teahas especially high levels of activeagents such as polyphenoles andcoffein. These protect the skin fromfree radicals, while having aregenerating and vitalising effect. Whitetea lends the skin a fresh and vitalradiance.

Algae extracts obtained from thebrown algae laminaria hyperborea, hasmoisturising, toning and protectingproperties.

Allantoin encourages cell regenerationin stressed skin, accelerates the healingprocess in the treatment of wounds.It is obtained from wheat germs, blacksalsify, horse chestnuts etc.

Almond oil Golden yellow oil with aparticularly mild scent and taste, whichmakes the skin pleasantly soft andsupple.

Aloe Vera gel, isolated from the leavesof the aloe vera plant, moisturises,smoothes the skin and is effectiveagainst skin irritations.

Avocadin is a concentrate of the activeagents of avocado oil. Phytosterines,chemically related to hormones, andvitamins render avocadin so effective.It has moisture preserving propertiesand is used effectively to fight hyper-keratosis, atrophy of the skin and otherskin damages. Avocadin especiallycares for and protects dry skin. Avo-cadin is a concentrate of the activeagents of avocado oil. Azulene is the blue active agent deri-ved from essential camomile oil andguajak wood oil. It has a calming, anti-allergenic and regenerative effect.

Betaine common in nature, also tobe found in the human organism. It isobtained from sugar beet. Its distingu-ishing features are conditioning proper-ties, moisturising effects and the re-duction of trans-epidermal loss ofmoisture.

Biobranil is a concentrated extract ofwheat bran. It promotes skin elasticity.Skin feels cared for and velvety, whilealso enjoying biological protection.

Bio-hyaluronic acid is produced withbiotechnological means. It fixesmoisture and helps to preserve themost important attributes of youthful,young skin, such as suppleness andelasticity and firmness.

Bisabolol is a colourless, faintlyaromatic liquid, which is found up to50% in the ethereal camomile oil. It iseffective against inflammations,reddening and irritations. Itsbacteriostatic effect as well as its idealcompatibility with the skin deserve aspecial mention.

Calendula oil Calendula oil is extractedfrom marigold flowers. Calendula oil iscredited with epithelialisation effects.Products containing calendula oil areparticularly suitable for caring for dryskin.

Camomile the true camomile(Chamomilla recutita). Flower headsare collected containing around 1%etherial oil which includes the blueactive agent cham azulene. Camomileis well-known for its anti-inflammatory,calming and anti-irritant effect.

Cornflower extract (Centaureacyanus) has calming properties.

Carotene = Provitamin A. This vitaminprotects the epithelium and promotescell development. The skin’s resistanceis improved. Carotene is the primarycomponent of carrot oil.

Grape seed oil contains particularlyhigh levels of Vitamin F. This essentialvitamin is one of the basic buildingblocks of our skin. It strengthens thebarrier function and thus the skin’sresistance. In addition, this vitaminpromotes an even complexion whilesuppressing irregular pigmentation.

Green tea (Camellia oleifera) originates from the same plant as black tea,and only differs from the latter in thatit is not fermented. Due to the hightannin content, the extract has anastringent and anti-inflammatory effect,while also strengthening the skin. It isa superb free radical trap.

Hamamelis (Hamamelis virginiana).This shrub is indigenous to NorthAmerica. The leaves and bark are used,containing tannins, resins, waxes andetherial oils. The extracts have anastringent effect, while also tighteningpores and strengthening the skin.

Hesperidin is among the Vitamin Pfactors which promote increasedcapillary permeability (permeability ofthe smallest blood vessels) while alsonormalising blood vessel breakability.It is found in citrus fruits, paprika andthe blossoms of the summer lindentree.

Honey mainly consists of various sugarcompounds, and also contains proteinsubstances, vitamins, mineral salts,organic acids and aromaticsubstances. Honey’s cosmetic use isas a moisturiser. It is used bynaturopaths to treat burns and wounds.

Hydroviton is a moisture providerderived from amino-acids, urea,allantoin, sodium lactate and saccharicsubstances. In its combination itcorresponds to the natural moisturisingfactor ( NMF) of the skin.

Interference pigment green. Greenis the complementary colour of red. Itthus neutralises skin reddening.

Ivy (Hedera helix). The leaves of thisevergreen climber are used to preparethis extract. Ivy extract helps promoteblood and lymph flow.

Jojoba oil, cold pressed from thenuts of the jojoba bush grown in theMexican desert. In chemical terms,jojoba oil is a liquid wax. It is able topenetrate the skin very quickly, doesnot become rancid and reveals itseffect deep in the skin. It protectsagainst dryness while keeping skinsmooth and silky.

Lecithin is a substance similar to fat,found primarily in animal and plant cells(0.5-1% in the skin). Lecithin combatsskin de-greasing and promotespenetration of the active agents.

Lime blossom (Tilia cordata). Theextract from the flowers of the small-leaved lime promotes blood flow, caresfor the skin and promotes the skin'sown moisture retention capacity.

Lipodermol is a mixture of skin-activelipids including lecithin, Vitamins A andE and essential fatty acids. Itstrengthens the skin’s barrier functionand “repairs” dry, flaky and slack skin.

Maize kernel oil contains the fat-soluble vitamins A and E, in additionto essential fatty acids.

Maris sal, Spray-dried sea water fromthe Bréhat archipelago in the GulfStream, is particularly rich in mineralsand trace elements. It has a vitalisingand harmonising effect on the skin,thus increasing wellbeing.

Menthol The main component ofpeppermint oil. It stimulates the bloodcirculation, has a cooling effect andsoothes itching.

Melissa (Melissa officinalis). Melissa isindigenous to the Mediterranean andthe Orient. The leaves are gatheredbefore or after flowering. Due to theiranti-irritant and soothing effect, extractsfrom this medicinal plant have beenused since the days of antiquity.

Micropigments. Physical protection from light by ultra-fine pigments,which reflect and disperse UV rays.The size of the particles is so minutethat these pigments are invisible. Theyensure a particularly high and well-tolerated sun protection

Olive oil. We only use cold-pressedoil from the first pressing (“extra virgin”)with a high level of caring substances.

Panthenol (Vitamin B5) penetrateshair and skin easily, and has a particu-larly beneficial effect on the moisturerention capacity of dry, stressed andchapped skin. Panthenol combats skinreddening and irritation, has an anti-inflammatory effect and soothes it-ching. When used in hair care pro-ducts, it renders the hair easier tocomb and shinier, and also has a“repair effect”.

Peach kernel oil. Golden-yellow oilwith a particularly mild odour and taste,which renders the skin pleasantly softand smooth.

Pentavitin is a highly effective skinmoisture regulator based on naturalcarbohydrates. In terms of its compo-sition, it corresponds to the carbohy-drate combination found in the humansubcorneous layer. Pentavitin forms anatural compound with keratin, thustransferring its moisture retention pro-perties to the top skin layer.

Perhydrosqualene is a colourless,scentless oily liquid, which is obtainedfrom olive oil. Perhydrosqualene isparticularly compatible with the skin,is easily spread and absorbed andenables other active agents to be in-cluded.

Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis) isan evergreen shrub which can be foundall over the Mediterranean. The leavesare harvested before flowering. Theycontain 1-2 % ethereal oils and about8 % tanning agents. It is employed inherbal cosmetics for its antiseptic,stimulating effects and its conducive-ness to circulation.

Safflower oil. From safflower seeds.It is distinguished by especially high levelsof essential fatty acids (Vitamin F).

Sage (Salvia officinalis). Among themost important anti-inflammatory me-dicinal herbs. The leaves are gathered,containing around 2% etherial oil, tan-nins, bitters, resin, saponin and carbo-hydrates. Sage has an anti-septic andastringent effect, and is used to carefor skin which is vulnerable to inflam-mation.

Saponines of the lesser celandine(Ranunculus ficaria), a bog plant, redu-ces capillary permeability and thusvisibly combats skin reddening.

Sea buckthorn lipids are obtainedfrom the dried and ground berries ofthe sea buckthorn (Hippophae rham-noides) using a high-pressure extrac-tion process with carbonic acid fromnatural wells. They are especially effec-tive for smoothing and regeneratingthe skin.

Sesame oil (Oleum sesami) is obtainedby pressing the seeds of the sesameplant. The seeds of this plant, whichresembles the foxglove, contain around50 % oil. Sesame oil is pale yellow,almost odourless and has a mild taste.It has high levels of essential linoleicacid, and is a natural antioxidant thanksto the active agent sesamol.

Shea butter, obtained from the nutsof the West African butter tree (butyro-spermum parkii), contains a highamount of unsaponifiable substances(phytosterols, vitamins). It is excellentlysuited for skin with a need for specialcare, has outstanding protective pro-perties and prevents the skin fromdrying out.

Silk proteins bond to the skin’s keratin,thus forming a protective film whichleaves the skin feeling silky. In addition,the silk proteins have a particular waterbinding capacity, thus regulating skinmoisture.

UV-A-filters protects from the longerwave UV rays, which accelerate skinageing.

UV-B-filters protects from the shortwave UV rays, which cause sunburn.

Vitamin A is the epithelium protectionvitamin with a stimulating effect on theregeneration of cells and collagen. Itdisplays a regulatory effect in thekeratinising process and improves theskin's appearance and elasticity.Vitamin A is the beauty vitamin fordemanding skin.

Vitamin C acts as a radical trap. Thesefree and aggressive oxygen moleculesare particularly likely to be formed whenexposed to UV radiation, negativeenvironmental influences or stress.Vitamin C combats such adverseeffects by trapping these radicals. Theskin is thus better protected, cell activityis stimulated and the regeneration ofcollagen fibres is promoted.

Vitamin E offers active cell protection.When used regularly it helps improvethe skin's appearance: skin is renderedtangibly smoother. Vitamin E has beenproven to increase the skin's moisturecontent. Mature skin receives intensivecare, developing a protective reserveto meet the challenges of the followingday

Vitamin F. This essential vitamin(linoleic acid) is one of the skin’s basicbuilding blocks, strengthening thebarrier function and thus the resistancecapacity of the skin. This vitamin alsopromotes an even complexion andsuppresses irregular pigmentation.

It alsoregulates the pH balancing system andimproves the skin's protective function.Thanks to its content of unsaturatedessential fatty acids, which are optimallybiologically effective, wheat bran extractregulates the condition of dry skin,improving its resistance capacity.

Wheat proteins. We employ wheatproteins of particular purity with a highmolecular weight. They have a skin-firming effect and reduce the depthand number of lines thus smoothingthe skin's surface.

White tea (Camelia sinensis) iscultivated in the high mountain regionsof Fujian in China. Only the youngestleaves, still covered with short whitehairs, are selected and picked,steamed and dried. Thanks to thisparticularly gentle process, white teahas especially high levels of activeagents such as polyphenoles andcoffein. These protect the skin fromfree radicals, while having aregenerating and vitalising effect. Whitetea lends the skin a fresh and vitalradiance.

Algae extracts obtained from thebrown algae laminaria hyperborea, hasmoisturising, toning and protectingproperties.

Allantoin encourages cell regenerationin stressed skin, accelerates the healingprocess in the treatment of wounds.It is obtained from wheat germs, blacksalsify, horse chestnuts etc.

Almond oil Golden yellow oil with aparticularly mild scent and taste, whichmakes the skin pleasantly soft andsupple.

Aloe Vera gel, isolated from the leavesof the aloe vera plant, moisturises,smoothes the skin and is effectiveagainst skin irritations.

Avocadin is a concentrate of the activeagents of avocado oil. Phytosterines,chemically related to hormones, andvitamins render avocadin so effective.It has moisture preserving propertiesand is used effectively to fight hyper-keratosis, atrophy of the skin and otherskin damages. Avocadin especiallycares for and protects dry skin. Avo-cadin is a concentrate of the activeagents of avocado oil. Phytosterines,chemically related to hormones, andvitamins render avocadin so effective.It has moisture preserving propertiesand is used effectively to fight hyper-keratosis, atrophy of the skin and otherskin damages. Azulene is the blue active agent deri-ved from essential camomile oil andguajak wood oil. It has a calming, anti-allergenic and regenerative effect.

Betaine common in nature, also tobe found in the human organism. It isobtained from sugar beet. Its distingu-ishing features are conditioning proper-ties, moisturising effects and the re-duction of trans-epidermal loss ofmoisture.

Biobranil is a concentrated extract ofwheat bran. It promotes skin elasticity.Skin feels cared for and velvety, whilealso enjoying biological protection.

Bio-hyaluronic acid is produced withbiotechnological means. It fixesmoisture and helps to preserve themost important attributes of youthful,young skin, such as suppleness andelasticity and firmness.

Bisabolol is a colourless, faintlyaromatic liquid, which is found up to50% in the ethereal camomile oil. It iseffective against inflammations,reddening and irritations. Itsbacteriostatic effect as well as its idealcompatibility with the skin deserve aspecial mention.

Calendula oil Calendula oil is extractedfrom marigold flowers. Calendula oil iscredited with epithelialisation effects.Products containing calendula oil areparticularly suitable for caring for dryskin.

Camomile the true camomile(Chamomilla recutita). Flower headsare collected containing around 1%etherial oil which includes the blueactive agent cham azulene. Camomileis well-known for its anti-inflammatory,calming and anti-irritant effect.

Cornflower extract (Centaureacyanus) has calming properties.

Carotene = Provitamin A. This vitaminprotects the epithelium and promotescell development. The skin’s resistanceis improved. Carotene is the primarycomponent of carrot oil.

Grape seed oil contains particularlyhigh levels of Vitamin F. This essentialvitamin is one of the basic buildingblocks of our skin. It strengthens thebarrier function and thus the skin’sresistance. In addition, this vitaminpromotes an even complexion whilesuppressing irregular pigmentation.

Green tea (Camellia oleifera) originates from the same plant as black tea,and only differs from the latter in thatit is not fermented. Due to the hightannin content, the extract has anastringent and anti-inflammatory effect,while also strengthening the skin. It isa superb free radical trap.

Hamamelis (Hamamelis virginiana).This shrub is indigenous to NorthAmerica. The leaves and bark are used,containing tannins, resins, waxes andetherial oils. The extracts have anastringent effect, while also tighteningpores and strengthening the skin.

Hesperidin is among the Vitamin Pfactors which promote increasedcapillary permeability (permeability ofthe smallest blood vessels) while alsonormalising blood vessel breakability.It is found in citrus fruits, paprika andthe blossoms of the summer lindentree.

Honey mainly consists of various sugarcompounds, and also contains proteinsubstances, vitamins, mineral salts,organic acids and aromaticsubstances. Honey’s cosmetic use isas a moisturiser. It is used bynaturopaths to treat burns and wounds.

Hydroviton is a moisture providerderived from amino-acids, urea,allantoin, sodium lactate and saccharicsubstances. In its combination itcorresponds to the natural moisturisingfactor ( NMF) of the skin.

Interference pigment green. Greenis the complementary colour of red. Itthus neutralises skin reddening.

Ivy (Hedera helix). The leaves of thisevergreen climber are used to preparethis extract. Ivy extract helps promoteblood and lymph flow.

Jojoba oil, cold pressed from thenuts of the jojoba bush grown in theMexican desert. In chemical terms,jojoba oil is a liquid wax. It is able topenetrate the skin very quickly, doesnot become rancid and reveals itseffect deep in the skin. It protectsagainst dryness while keeping skinsmooth and silky.

Lecithin is a substance similar to fat,found primarily in animal and plant cells(0.5-1% in the skin). Lecithin combatsskin de-greasing and promotespenetration of the active agents.

Lime blossom (Tilia cordata). Theextract from the flowers of the small-leaved lime promotes blood flow, caresfor the skin and promotes the skin'sown moisture retention capacity.

Lipodermol is a mixture of skin-activelipids including lecithin, Vitamins A andE and essential fatty acids. Itstrengthens the skin’s barrier functionand “repairs” dry, flaky and slack skin.

Maize kernel oil contains the fat-soluble vitamins A and E, in additionto essential fatty acids.

Maris sal, Spray-dried sea water fromthe Bréhat archipelago in the GulfStream, is particularly rich in mineralsand trace elements. It has a vitalisingand harmonising effect on the skin,thus increasing wellbeing.

Menthol The main component ofpeppermint oil. It stimulates the bloodcirculation, has a cooling effect andsoothes itching.

Melissa (Melissa officinalis). Melissa isindigenous to the Mediterranean andthe Orient. The leaves are gatheredbefore or after flowering. Due to theiranti-irritant and soothing effect, extractsfrom this medicinal plant have beenused since the days of antiquity.

Micropigments. Physical protection from light by ultra-fine pigments,which reflect and disperse UV rays.The size of the particles is so minutethat these pigments are invisible. Theyensure a particularly high and well-tolerated sun protection

Olive oil. We only use cold-pressedoil from the first pressing (“extra virgin”)with a high level of caring substances.

Panthenol (Vitamin B5) penetrateshair and skin easily, and has a particu-larly beneficial effect on the moisturerention capacity of dry, stressed andchapped skin. Panthenol combats skinreddening and irritation, has an anti-inflammatory effect and soothes it-ching. When used in hair care pro-ducts, it renders the hair easier tocomb and shinier, and also has a“repair effect”.

Peach kernel oil. Golden-yellow oilwith a particularly mild odour and taste,which renders the skin pleasantly softand smooth.

Pentavitin is a highly effective skinmoisture regulator based on naturalcarbohydrates. In terms of its compo-sition, it corresponds to the carbohy-drate combination found in the humansubcorneous layer. Pentavitin forms anatural compound with keratin, thustransferring its moisture retention pro-perties to the top skin layer.

Perhydrosqualene is a colourless,scentless oily liquid, which is obtainedfrom olive oil. Perhydrosqualene isparticularly compatible with the skin,is easily spread and absorbed andenables other active agents to be in-cluded.

Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis) isan evergreen shrub which can be foundall over the Mediterranean. The leavesare harvested before flowering. Theycontain 1-2 % ethereal oils and about8 % tanning agents. It is employed inherbal cosmetics for its antiseptic,stimulating effects and its conducive-ness to circulation.

Safflower oil. From safflower seeds.It is distinguished by especially high levelsof essential fatty acids (Vitamin F).

Sage (Salvia officinalis). Among themost important anti-inflammatory me-dicinal herbs. The leaves are gathered,containing around 2% etherial oil, tan-nins, bitters, resin, saponin and carbo-hydrates. Sage has an anti-septic andastringent effect, and is used to carefor skin which is vulnerable to inflam-mation.

Saponines of the lesser celandine(Ranunculus ficaria), a bog plant, redu-ces capillary permeability and thusvisibly combats skin reddening.

Sea buckthorn lipids are obtainedfrom the dried and ground berries ofthe sea buckthorn (Hippophae rham-noides) using a high-pressure extrac-tion process with carbonic acid fromnatural wells. They are especially effec-tive for smoothing and regeneratingthe skin.

Sesame oil (Oleum sesami) is obtainedby pressing the seeds of the sesameplant. The seeds of this plant, whichresembles the foxglove, contain around50 % oil. Sesame oil is pale yellow,almost odourless and has a mild taste.It has high levels of essential linoleicacid, and is a natural antioxidant thanksto the active agent sesamol.

Shea butter, obtained from the nutsof the West African butter tree (butyro-spermum parkii), contains a highamount of unsaponifiable substances(phytosterols, vitamins). It is excellentlysuited for skin with a need for specialcare, has outstanding protective pro-perties and prevents the skin fromdrying out.

Silk proteins bond to the skin’s keratin,thus forming a protective film whichleaves the skin feeling silky. In addition,the silk proteins have a particular waterbinding capacity, thus regulating skinmoisture.

UV-A-filters protects from the longerwave UV rays, which accelerate skinageing.

UV-B-filters protects from the shortwave UV rays, which cause sunburn.

Vitamin A is the epithelium protectionvitamin with a stimulating effect on theregeneration of cells and collagen. Itdisplays a regulatory effect in thekeratinising process and improves theskin's appearance and elasticity.Vitamin A is the beauty vitamin fordemanding skin.

Vitamin C acts as a radical trap. Thesefree and aggressive oxygen moleculesare particularly likely to be formed whenexposed to UV radiation, negativeenvironmental influences or stress.Vitamin C combats such adverseeffects by trapping these radicals. Theskin is thus better protected, cell activityis stimulated and the regeneration ofcollagen fibres is promoted.

Vitamin E offers active cell protection.When used regularly it helps improvethe skin's appearance: skin is renderedtangibly smoother. Vitamin E has beenproven to increase the skin's moisturecontent. Mature skin receives intensivecare, developing a protective reserveto meet the challenges of the followingday

Vitamin F. This essential vitamin(linoleic acid) is one of the skin’s basicbuilding blocks, strengthening thebarrier function and thus the resistancecapacity of the skin. This vitamin alsopromotes an even complexion andsuppresses irregular pigmentation.

Walnut shell oil is an oily extract fromgreen walnut shells (Cortex juglandisnucus). This extract contains juglon, asubstance which naturally colours theskin brown. Tests have shown that
