NURSERY UPDATE

Josie visited the nurseries while she was in Peru and reported back:

‘‘The nurseries are in great form with all the children very relaxed. The young people from England who came over in the summer did an amazing job in decorating the buildings with huge murals in happy colours both inside and outside.”

Dorothy, a trustee, and her daughter went with Josie to review the nurseries and they gave an excellent report. We now have 80 children receiving good nutrition, lots of fun and a stimulating start to education.

This page of photos shows the children learning to cut out and make their own pictures as part of creative play.

CARLOS’S NEW MOTORBIKE

Carlos now has a new motorbike thanks to fundraising efforts by Dorothy and her daughter. The bike is a Yamaha XTZ125 and will help him to travel between nurseries.

Carlos and Sula are learning to teach the nursery staff how, with good stimulation, the children learn though experience and in these early years do not need blackboard teaching.
