organized the Literary Fest 2018 named

WOW Writing and Oration made Wonderful

the motivation behind the Fest was to inculcate

IV B of Dps Kolar Road presented a Special

Assembly on Monday 25July 2018 to honour

the soldiers on the occasion of Kargil Victory Day which falls on 26 July every

year Students amazed the audience by scintillating dance performances depicting

patriotic fervour and the strong feeling of unity and brotherhood amongst the

people of our country

by Centre of Excellence Ajmer for Class XII English

was conducted on 26th and 27th July 2018 at Raj

Heights the Global School Raisen

workshop by CBSE was an excellent opportunity to the teachers teaching class XII

English Core The workshop discussed the standardization procedures for teaching

and evaluating English Core (301) Detailed session on

(a) Reading Comprehension

(b) Format of Business Letters and Content

(c) Posters and Classified Advertisement

(d) Teaching of Literature with special emphasis on the two textbooks prescribed

by the CBSE

It was indeed a very enriching and fruitful workshop

2772018 Basic Life support workshop was conducted on 27072018 at AIIMS Bhopal In

this workshop training was given on the basic steps to revive a patient anywhere

Ways to identify and given CPR (Cardio Pulmonary Rustications) to a patient were

also discussed stress was given on Circulation Airway Breathing Chest

Compression amp Respiratory care It was also told how to deliver chest compression

respiratory care It was also told how to deliver chest compression and given to

receiving a patient before the arrival of advance cardiac life support shift It was a

very information workshop

25072018 Paridhi Srivastva class 8 student of DPS Kolar proved

that she is indeed a store house of incredible talent and

amazing moves when she participated in SGFI chess

state level U-14 girls‟ category and won the gold medal

She is selected for nationals

25072018 Rainy day is always a fun time for the kids

if it is celebrated in the school with this

thought in mind Castle of Dreams Kolar

conducted an activity ldquoSPRINKLERS

AND SHOWERSrdquo on 25th July 2018

Instead of confining them to their

classrooms the students of classes Pre-

nursery to class I were brought out in open

by their mentors with umbrellas and

raincoats to enjoy the playful rainy

weather when it was raining cats and

dogs

All the kids relished roasted corns with a dash of lemon and had a festivity time

with their friends and mentors It was a day full of activities and fun all connected

to rain

competition ldquoMy Creative Canvasrdquo for

divergent thinking of the students was challenged when they started with an array

of material They had to decide what to use and how best to use the material to

express themselves We witnessed the usage of various skills in the collages made

by them Children enjoyed it as it was a new concept for them

Participated in the same Total 19 teams were there in

the Competition which proved to be taught

organized a Tree Plantation Drive in the school campus today under the able

our rivers and how urgent is the need to safeguard the environment around He

advised students to refuse the use of plastic bags and also to buy environmental

friendly Ganesha in the upcoming Ganesh Utsav

The drive was organized with the aim of sensitizing students to save future by

planting trees The programme included songs amp poems recited by the students

DIPSITES seated in the shape of leaves and flowers added to the ambience of the

event which was an overwhelming success

In her address to the students Madam Principal Mrs Vandana Dhupar encouraged

the students to gift saplings on birthdays rather than gifts She thanked the

dignitaries and reassured them that DPS Kolar would continue on its path of Each

One Plant One

The students gained an invaluable experience from this small expeditionThey

displayed exemplary enthusiasm in contributing towards this important task of the

time to save environment

28072018 ldquoDiversity is the art of thinking independently togetherrdquo

India is a country known for its diversities yet recognised by its individuality One

such diverse aspect of India was well depicted and explained by the students of

class ndash II in an assembly conducted by them where in the students came dressed

up in the traditional costumes of

informative assembly was well attended

and absorbed by the fellow students as

the same was evident by the

overwhelming response of the students

Jyanti on 31072018 in which a skit was

shown The name of the story was ( Budi

Kaki) through this skit social problems

were highlighted and children were given

a message to take care of elderly people

Their wishes should not be suppressed

It was an excellent effort by all the
