There are a number of things that children should remember when using the supervised crossing.
Wait at the required marshalling area.
Watch the Supervisor. Listen to instructions given by the Supervisor. Allow other children to watch, listen and obey.
Walk quickly across the crossing when instructed to. Do not ride a skateboard, bicycle or other wheeled toy across the crossing. Parents, if you are driving and approaching the crossing and the Supervisor is displaying the STOP CHILDREN CROSSING sign, you must observe the road rules for the supervised crossing i.e. slow down and stop until the Supervisor and all other pedestrians have left the crossing. You can also assist in ensuring your child’s general safety by parking your vehicle legally and responsibly and meeting your child on the school side of the road. Parents should also be good role models for their children by using the crossing facilities and waiting until the Supervisor instructs you to cross.

Talk to your kids before a stranger does. No matter what their age, if your kids are online, now’s the time to talk about online safety. It can be hard to know how and when to talk to kids about staying safe online. While they might know a lot about technology, they don’t always know as much as you do about life. To better understand the issues and start the conversation, you need the right tools, tips and advice. Through our eSafety website, you can learn how to talk to your kids about cyberbullying, online predators, sexting and other inappropriate content.

ANAPHYLAXIS Our school is concerned about the safety and well-
being of all our students. Many of you will know
someone who is affected by anaphylaxis, a life
threatening allergic reaction. Our school does its
best to be an allergy aware school. Staff have had
training in severe allergy management and we
have implemented lots of strategies to help keep
students at risk of anaphylaxis as safe as we can.
We now have a number of students who live with
the risk of anaphylaxis to foods and insect stings.
Whilst these children are being taught to care for
themselves at an age appropriate level, we ask
that you help us educate your child on the
importance of not sharing food with others,
washing hands after eating and calling out to an
adult if they think their friend with allergies is
sick.
9 foods cause 90% of food allergies.
These foods are:
Peanuts are the leading cause of severe allergic
reactions, followed by tree nuts, shell fish, fish and
