Bud Hettinga, President Bud Hettinga’s leadership is based on a commitment to quality. He has over 40 years in designing and building Industrial, Commercial, and Public Work facilities. A native New Mexican, Bud Hettinga has a strong record of community service, including a term as Representative in the New Mexico State Legislature. He is past board member of the Greater Las Cruces Chamber of Commerce and board member Citizen’s Bank of Las Cruces. Bud served in the New Mexico House of Representatives as well as in the Las Cruces Industrial Development board.

Mark Hettinga, Vice President Mark Hettinga has over 28 years of experience in all phases of design / building and the general construction industry. Specializing in subdivision development, utility, infrastructure, dirt work and asphalt paving. This commitment assisted Highland Enterprises in being the most well rounded construction company in the area. Mark is a licensed real estate broker in the state of new Mexico and is qualifying broker for Source Real Estate & Land Development company. As a member of the Homebuilders Association Mark serves to assist in development issues with the city of Las Cruces and Dona Ana. county.

Mike Heard, Senior Estimator Mike Heard brings over 38 years of experience in commercial and industrial

construction. He specializes in steel erection, commercial, industrial projects, and complicated concrete tilt wall buildings. He has the vision to see what is needed and price the project accordingly. Mike takes pride in making timely estimates and sound budgets which result in very few change orders.

John Fruit, Estimator John Fruit was raised in New Mexico and has extensive experience in Project Management, and estimating. His projects have included NMSU, Dona Ana County, City of Las Cruces, NMDOT. John specializes in Parking Lot Construction and Asphalt Rehabilitation, Recreation Areas, Walking Trails, Site Development, and Infrastructure.

Highland Enterprises will work under any mutually agreeable construction agreement-

Full service design/build, project management, subcontractor, fixed price or cost not to exceed

contract basis.

Areas of Service

Design/Build: We take any project from concept to completion; including but not limited to land acquisition, zoning, design, construction and landscaping. We’re there from start to finish, and will even hand you the keys to the front door-all on time & on budget.

Two Bit Trucking: Two Bit Trucking is owned by Bud Hettinga and is another reason why Highland Enterprises is efficient. We don’t have to depend on other people for these services, we have the capability to get site work and paving materials to our construction sites on time and at a competitive price.

Concrete: We have over 30 years experience in concrete work. We build everything from concrete tilt walls to concrete bridges. We pour concrete floors, curbs and gutters for industrial sites and subdivisions with our own people and equipment.

Utilities: Highland is one of the few construction companies that has the full capabilities in utilities installation from site preparation to completion of water, gas, sewer systems, and storm drain systems.

Paving: We supply and install the asphalt and base material for each project, thereby ensuring our can do, on budget and on time philosophy.

Steel Erection: We procure the steel for structural steel construction or metal buildings. We then erect it with our own forces.
