In all instances, garment sizing informationis located adjacent to the picture of thegarment. Please note that some garmentsare not available in every size option andthat size conversions can differ fromgarment to garment. Please read detailsdirectly from the table situated next to thegarments you require.

The following instructions provide adviceon how to take accurate measurementsfor each part of the body.

There are two easy ways to obtain yourcorrect measurements:

01 If you already have HIgh VisibilityWorkwear, that is comfortable after it hasbeen washed, look in the label, and thesize and fit should be visible.

02 Simply follow the instructions oppositeand ask a friend to measure the keydimensions as illustrated. It is importantto note that you should always measurearound the fullest part whilst wearing theundergarments that you would normallywear for work.

Special Measures

Should standard clothing or footwearnot fit you, you may require a specialmeasure in which case please contactyour local buyer who will contact therelevant supplier to arrange anappointment with their measuringcoordinator.

Railway Group Standards

For your own safety you are required to wear High Visibility clothing to EN471,when on or about the line. Each garment exceeds the requirements of British andEuropean standards for its intended application and carries the relevant CE mark.In conjunction with these European legislative requirements, the products also,where applicable, conform to the Railway Group Standard GO/RT 3279 for highvisibility warning clothing.

Each product has been carefully selected and comprehensively trialed withinNetwork Rail to assess their fitness for purpose. Incorporating the latest technologyin breathable clothing utilising GORE-TEX® fabrics together with footwear whichexceeds the standards. How do I keep my garments clean? Easy...A Totally Unique Process

The first picture is of a new garment. Obviously itwould be nice if it stayed this way, realistically thoughit is more likely to look like the second picture onceit has been worn. The third picture shows a garmentthat quite clearly requires cleaning and this shouldnot continue to be worn. The final picture illustratesa garment that is heavily soiled to such a degree thatit may well impair the cleaning process.

No bleaching: The laundry clean garments withnaturally organic materials (no bleaches involved)and dry them at low temperatures.

No fading: The cleaning process does not bleachcolour, again because no bleaches are used.

Re-waterproofing: The laundry re-proof garmentseach time they are laundered.

Non tainting: The cleaning process removes all odours.

Non irritating: The laundry rinse all garmentsthoroughly leaving no residual solution to causeirritation to the skin.

A totally unique service: The laundry repair garmentsas and when necessary.

…with the Network Rail special laundry service forhigh visibility clothing.

The result of your workwear being unclean is unsafe,uneconomical and most certainly unlawful. Cleaningand re-processing is an effective way to stay safe,clean and legal.

Network Rail garments are barcoded before beingsent to the laundry and each wearer has a uniqueidentity that allows us to monitor how many timesthey have sent their garments in for cleaning or repair.If you move location or the barcode becomesdetached from your garment, fill in a tag providedby your supervisor and attach to garment BEFOREit goes into the laundry.

Every time your garments are received at our laundrywe manually inspect every item. Should any garment require replacing or repairing this will also be done atour laundry.

Foul Weather Wear protecting you from the elements

When it’s GORE-TEX® fabric, waterproof means waterproof

The bicomponent GORE-TEX membrane is made from expanded polytetrafluoroethylene(ePTFE). Although the membrane is micro-porous, a single droplet of water is 20,000times larger than each pore in the membrane. This is why GORE-TEX fabric is sowaterproof that it will not let water through up to pressures of 45psi.

When it’s GORE-TEX® fabric, breathable means breathable

Evaporation of sweat is an essential part of the process of temperature regulation by thebody. Even though the GORE-TEX membrane is totally impermeable to liquid water, thepores in the membrane are 700 times larger than water vapour molecule. Water vapourin the form of perspiration can easily pass out of the GORE-TEX garments and thewearer will stay cool. Breathable GORE-TEX fabric makes it easier for you to get on withyour work for longer.

Safety boots equipped with GORE-TEX keepfeet dry and reduce the cooling effect ofconventional footwear and its consequences.

For cleaning your boots, use a cloth or a brushand lukewarm water. Dry naturally at moderatetemperatures. Avoid direct heat. Convectionstyle boot dryers work well. Even thoughGORE-TEX boots are waterproof, the leatherouter may still need regular maintenance. Asilicone based or fluoric shoe polish helps tokeep the leather smooth. Please avoid fattysubstances that plug the pores.
