Introduction

Being a high school physics teacher means that you are a commodity. As of June 1, 2006 there were seven teaching positions open for high school physics teachers in South East Pennsylvania. There are now 15 physics

positions open for the 2006/07 school year in the Philadelphia School District alone.

Certification

To earn a certification in Pennsylvania a person must complete a teacher certification program at a four year university.

As a part of the curriculum and requirements for graduation a person must take the proper Praxis tests. These tests measure an array of concepts in the field that the person seeks certification.
