HPS 68 unique spindle design

Revolutionary Novibra HPS design changed the classical ring

spinning and opened new prospects for spinning in speed up to

25 000 RPM. This design has become the synonym for

high-speed spindle design.

HPS 68 Insert

Two level grip of upper part in the bolster – roller type neck

bearing and footstep slide bearing.

- neck bearing diameter 6,8 mm allows minimal wharve

diameter 18,5 mm

- footstep bearing consists of axial and radial part, its movable

grip enables small displacement of shaft tip and thus reduces

neck bearing load

- damping sleeve absorbs all radial forces

- rotating shaft is floating on a lubrication film that minimizes any

metal to metal contact

- special shape of shaft tip called sphero point enables ideal

contact

Novibra spindles running performance shows minimal vibrations rise

with the speed increase.

Traditional spindle design with conical shaft tip shows remarkable

vibrations starting at 13 000 RPM. The speed above 16 000 RPM is

above the range of practical use of conical tip design spindles.

NASA HPS 68 and standard HPS 68 have the same bearing

geometry therefore the same spindle top part may be used in either

Performance at higher speed

Novibra spindles and other components in use.

HPS 68 standard version, recommended speed range up to

20 000 RPM, however, can theoretically run up to 25 000 RPM.

L HPS 68 for coarser yarn counts and larger tubes up to about

280mm, speeds up to 16 000 RPM. Harder damping due to the

lowered and prolonged damping sleeve.

NASA HPS 68 the best performance - the lowest noise level and

vibrations, ideal for speed range 20 000 - 25 000 RPM.

Energy saving spindles HPS 68/3 and NASA HPS 68/3

Footstep bearing of energy saving spindles has been

energetically optimized.

Reduction of diameter from 4,5 mm to 3 mm leads to the reduction

of power consuption. Building of sufficient oil film is still ensured.

- increase of the spindle speed with the same energy consumption
