Bed Guide Way Width
To achieve a high level of stability duringmachining, improvements in rigidity havebeen the main focus in the design process.The mounting areas of main and subspindles have been significantly widenedand the spindle length shortened tominimise vibration.Spindle bearing diameter has beenincreased to improve rigidity. This alsoallows a larger through bore size for thesub-spindle.Spindles are available as belt type or built-in motor type.
Heat Isolation StructureOne very important design concept is to reduce theeffects of heat sources in the machine.Heat shields and fan motors are used to prevent thetransmission of heat to the machine structure.
Servo Driven TailStockSetup time is significantly reduced by using the servo driventailstock. Thrust force can be set in programme command.Positioning of the tailstock body in cycle is also faster. Anintegrated safety system prevents sudden loss of applied thrustforce during operating cycle.
Nut coolingThe precision of X-axis is one of themost important factor in turningcenters. So, to minimize thermaleffect on cutting precision causedby heat from X-axis ball screw,there is optional X-axis ball screwnut cooling system.
Tool Post
For tooling system, BMT65P size which allows ER32 collet isapplied to enhance cutting capability. The large 12 station heavyduty turret features a large diameter Curvic coupling and heavyduty design with unsurpassed rigidity. Moreover, bevel gearinside the turret is lubricated by air-oil to suppress heat.
Faster Rapid TraverseFor high productivity, reducing non-cutting time is veryimportant. The rapid traverses of X, Z, B-axes are elevated up to 30 m/min (1181.1 ipm), and Y-axis has 10 m/min (393.7 ipm).
