Can I defer my Prize? Yes, you may defer your enrolment and this Prize for the period of one year. Do I need to complete an application form? No you don’t. You have received this letter because you are eligible. When will I get confirmation that I have been awarded the Prize? You will be notified by the University after the main January round of offers. Do I need to complete an application form?No, Scholarship recipients will be selected based on the above requirements and your ATAR (or equivalent).

When will I get confirmation that I have received a Scholarship?Successful Scholarship recipients will be notified after the main January offer round on 17 January 2017. If you are successful for this Scholarship, we will send your Scholarship offer in an email.

How do I accept the Scholarship?To accept the Scholarship, you need enrol into your CDU course and return your completed documents as outlined in your scholarship offer to the Scholarships Officer.

Can I receive other Scholarships?Yes. You can hold up to two active scholarships at any one time.

Can I receive the Vice-Chancellor’s Prize and the Pro Vice-Chancellors’ Scholarship?No. You can only receive one or the other. If you are unsuccessful for the Pro Vice-Chancellors’ Scholarship you will be awarded the Vice-Chancellor’s Prize.

What is the Pro-Vice Chancellor Scholarship?This is a scholarship which is awarded to the top two

(2) Northern Territory school leavers in each of our Higher Educaton faculties, who choose to study at Charles Darwin University.

What are the eligibility requirements?To be a recipient you must:

• be an NT school leaver, having completed the NTCET or IB in 2016;

• be an Australian citizen or permanent resident and a resident of the Northern Territory;

• be intending to study full time and must complete at least 75% of your units internally each semester;

• be named in the Top 20 Students from the NT or gained an ATAR (or equivalent) of at least 95; and

• be enrolled as a student when the scholarship offer is accepted.

How much is the Pro-Vice Chancellor’s Scholarship? The value of the Scholarship is $6,000 for the first year of your undergraduate degree and $5,000 annually thereafter to the completion of your degree within the minimum time.

When do I get paid the Scholarship?In your first year it will be paid to you in a $6,000 lump sum after the Census Date in Semester 1 (31 March 2017). You will then receive $2,500 after the census dates in Semester 1 and Semester 2, in your second and subsequent years of your degree.

Can I defer my Scholarship?Unfortunately this Scholarship cannot be deferred.

What is the duration of the Scholarship?The Scholarship will be paid to you each year of your undergraduate degree for the minimum full-time to complete that degree.
