The Coming Winter
• As the weather gets colder, people stay inside warm houses and wear heavy coats when they go outside. In the winter we get our food from the grocery store.
• What happens to the animals?
What do animals do in the winter?
• Animals do many different, amazing things to get through the winter.
• Some of them migrate or move to warmer places where they can find food.

the winter, but they must adapt to the changing weather.
• To adapt to the weather means the animal must make changes in their covering or store food to survive in the winter.
