NOV 2010 Washington Local Schools Vol. 2 - Issue 3
Last month, I spent a lot of time organizing small groups and new classroom-based counseling lessons. Things are really starting to fall into place for our 2010-2011 school counseling services! If you have an individual, small group, or classroom-based counseling need, please do not hesitate to ask. I am always willing to construct new lessons for you to meet the needs you have. The goal is to help our students succeed in school—I am here to help us reach that goal. Thank you for being a fabulous staff. Enjoy this month’s newsletter!
Have a great November!

Red Ribbon Week
Classroom Guidance
Thank you for a great Red Ribbon Week!
I received a lot of positive feedback about our Spirit Days (especially “Sweats Day”), posters,
and songs on the announcements. Thanks to Bev Fandrey for providing the music!
If you would like copies of the songs, poems, or posters that we used during Red Ribbon Week,
just let me know. Also, if you have suggestions for how we can make next year’s event even
better, I am open to your ideas!
To continue the Red Ribbon Week message in your classroom, check
out one of this month’s books—The Red Ribbon: A Story of Hope.
It is more abstract, but deals with friendship and the importance of
being drug free.
I have a copy in my office, if you would like to read it and/or use it.
Start thinking about your classroom - based counseling needs!
