Hesperaole parviflora Desert Flamenco® Desert Flamenco® Red Yucca Desert Flamenco® is an exciting new introduction from the Hesperaloe breeding program here at Mountain States. This compact selection’s grey-green rosette of leaves top out at 30” tall and wide. Compared to regular Red Yucca, this plant displays loads of side branching on the flower spikes creating waterfalls of showy, tubular, pinkish-orange flowers. It produces very little seed which allows for an extended bloom time from spring all the way through the fall. This tough plant thrives in full sun, reflected heat, and even tolerates some light shade if drainage is adequate. As with all Hesperaloes, hummingbirds are drawn to the nectar-rich blossoms. Plant these in masses to really see the delightful dancer that is Desert Flamenco®.
