Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test3rd GradeReading and MathTentative Testing Window: March 9-19
Purpose – to measure students’ achievement in constructing meaning from a wide variety of texts
60% of the test will contain literary text
40% of the test will contain informational text
Includes two, sixty minute reading tests
All items multiple choice
Reading selections will represent a range of reading ability within the grade
Will include reading levels appropriate for both the beginning and end of the grade
Each passage will range between 100-700 words, with an average of 350 words per passage
Average of 6-8 passages Average of 50-55 questions
