Parents will be asked to supervise/observe students’ assignments and sign declaration stating that they have seen the SBA and that it was done by the student, before it is submitted to the teacher. This declaration will be placed on the first page of the SBA Folder.

TRANSFER OF SBA MARKS BETWEEN UNITS
Transfer of SBA marks mean that SBA will only be done for one unit and the grades used in the other unit without doing another SBA.
Candidates are allowed to transfer SBA marks between Units 1 and 2 in these subjects: Economics, History, Law, Literatures in English, Management of Business and Sociology.
Special care must be taken in selecting the Transfer option. Candidates who enter for Unit 1 or 2 at different sittings may re-use ANY moderated SBA mark obtained within the preceding two years. The SBA mark may be re-used in either Unit, or in both Units, irrespective of the Unit in which it was first obtained.
TRANSFER OF SBA MARKS BETWEEN UNITS
Candidates who are registering for the first time for both Units 1 and 2 in any of the mentioned subjects at the same sitting, will be permitted to submit only One SBA for either of the Units.
NB. REMEMBER TO CHOOSE TRANSFER OR RESIT BASED ON THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS:
If you have written a Unit before and are registering for the same Unit with the use of previous SBA scores select RESIT.
If you are registering for both Units in the same year for selected subjects, the
candidate may submit separate SBAs for each Unit or submit a single SBA for
both Units. In the latter case, the candidate must register as SBA in the first Unit and as
TRANSFER in the second Unit.
Students should do a new SBA, especially for transfer subjects where their results show a # sign, denoting that they have performed poorly/failed the SBA.
