Portfolio Project

Lately I have been working on my career portfolio; while I have done this my mind has opened up to so many more opportunities than I knew before. Having all this information in one place can help me when I am looking for jobs and even colleges. This has been a wonderful opportunity because I learned a lot about myself, the things I can do with my life and also what I need to do graduate high school and even college. I know where my skills and interest can be most useful. This great information can help me so much in the future when I am looking for jobs, a college, trying to make plans for higher levels of school, becoming more organized or just trying to graduate high school. It takes a lot of stress and worrying off of me to know I have plans and back up plans and I know what I want to do with my life and my future.

This experience could help me a tremendous amount in trying to find a job. I created a resume, cover letter, and thank you letter this will save me time in the future. I also took an interest profiling quiz, this shows me where I could most be happy in my career field. I have saved a few careers to my profile, they have all the information I could need on the career so I will know what to do in order to make myself most eligible for my career. I have my plan of study mapped out so I know what classes I have and what I need to take in order to be on track. My career plan is order so I have steps to follow to accomplish my goals. This take a lot of the pressure of looking for a job off of me because I have done a lot of the work already.

Another thing this portfolio could help me with is getting into college. College is a big interest for me. I have to put in a lot of work if I want to get into college it is not just luck, so it is nice to have these plans to follow so I don’t get overwhelmed. I have colleges saved in my portfolio that meet my interests so I can further investigate their programs. It is nice to have a place where I can look at a lot of different colleges so I don’t have to go through a lot of trouble and be stressed out looking for all that information. I have my saved majors and programs so I can look at colleges with that offer those programs. I have also my financial plan so I know how much I have to save in order to go to college. They have all the information for all the colleges I could want. Ga college 411 even zones areas you want to look for a college, for example if you wanted to only look for colleges within a certain region or state you could do so. They even let me look for colleges with other key things was looking for featuring their scholarships, area, key words, or what majors or programs they have.
