During the Great Jubilee, Steve Bollman received a call to found a ministry dedicated to marriage and family life. Steve founded Paradisus Dei as a lay ministry in 2002. Since its humble beginnings, Paradisus Dei has experienced tremendous growth. Four distinct ministries serve couples, men, women and youth with a base of 25,000 participants.

Paradisus Dei exists to help couples and families discover the Superabundance of God in the context of marriage and family life. This is accomplished through potent formation that gathers people together to experience God in their midst. The results are so positive that they are truly unheard of in our current culture, and fuel the ongoing growth of Paradisus Dei.

Couple’s Ministry – The Choice Wine

The Choice Wine: 7 Steps to a Superabundant Marriage places authentic marital happiness within every couple’s reach. Independent research indicates that these steps have the potential not only to “divorce proof” marriages, but also set them on the pathway to true superabundance. Of couples living the 7 Steps, 78% are very happily married, 22% are happily married and 0% are unhappily married.

Women’s Ministry - She Shall Be Called Woman (SHE)

Woman in Love Mother Daughter Retreat helps deliver God’s remarkable good news about sexuality. Mothers and daughters (grades 8-12) are led on a remarkable journey that weaves engaging talks with powerful prayer and extraordinary fun to create an experience of a lifetime. This one-night experience uniquely supports church, school or home use, with longer and shorter versions to meet diverse scheduling needs.

New Program in Development

Currently in the pilot stage, She Shall be Called Woman (SHE) is a two-semester, weekly formation program for women. She Shall Be Called Woman will seek to rise above our broken, fallen world to glimpse the beauty of woman as she exists in the mind of God. This program is inspired by the insights of the great saints of our day.

Men’s Ministry – That Man is You!

That Man is You! honestly addresses the pressures and temptations that men face in our modern culture, especially those relating to their roles as husbands and fathers. This two-semester, 26-week, interactive, multimedia program transforms men. This transformation is most profoundly seen in marriage and family life, men’s issues including pornography and balancing work demands, and greater participation in parish life.

Youth Program – Hope Undimmed

By bringing together thirty incredible speakers for seven unforgettable sessions and an amazing experience, Hope Undimmed helps young people to bridge the gap between faith and reasonas it relates to the mystery of the human person, created male and female. Hope Undimmed provides surprising answers to the most difficult questions young people face today.

Following the launch of That Man is You!, the Paradisus Dei team has grown to include a dozen professional staff, many skilled contractors and thousands of essential volunteers.
