Helpful hints from Welcome to Dallas "The time of your life city." It is hoped that each of you can come to Dallas for Congress in March. There are many iokes about Texans bragging about everything being bigger and better in Texas. I have come to realize why some of this is true. There are no gentle breezes. Bring your scarfs or bonnets to protect hairdos from gusty winds. It doesn't rain often, but look out when it does; come prepared. Temperatures fluctuate rapidly; the weather can be warm and sunny and extremely cold or freezing later the same day. Knits and pantsuits are suggested. Also, bring a top coat. For the evening functions, you may want to include one or two long dresses. The single most important article for Congress is comfortable walking shoes. For those attending Congress for the first time, take heed, there is a tremendous amount of walking. The convention center is housing all the meetings, but the distance between rooms can be quite far. Also, touring exhibits requires a great deal of walking. Although buses are provided, we hope the weather will permit walking from some of the downtown hotels to the convention cen- ter and around Dallas. Dallas is noted for its fine restaurants. Any cuisine you prefer is available in almost any direction. There will be a list of restaurants available at the hospitality booth. For those flying, the key to starting a pleasant stay in Dallas is proper use of the DalladFort Worth International Airport-the world's largest. As you enter the terminal, look overhead for the ground transportation Sgns. They will lead you to the Surtran pub- lic transportation ticket counter closest to your baggage claim area, It is suggested that you take the Surtrun bus directly to your hotel. The cost is $4.00. The cost is $2.50 to the Surtran terminals in downtown Dallas, Love Field, and noirth Dallas. Surtran taxis are also available, but more expensive than the bus. On returning to the airport, when confirming your reservations, request the number of the area from which YOU will be departing. If the weather is nice and th'e azaleas are in bloom, take time to tour the Turtle Creek area. The view is one not soon to be for- gotten.
