i read that helen did not have very many friends and she cut off one of her friends hair helen thought it was only fair if her friend cut her hair off.helen's mom was not happy at all.i think it would be hard not having very many friends and having your hair cut off.

i read that alexander graham bell helped deaf people learn to talk with drawings somewhat because his wife was deaf.i think it was very nice of alexander to help deaf people. he must have spent a lot of time making the drawings.

i read that alexander graham bell told the kellers about perkins school that might be able to help helen and alexander and helen made a bond.i think alexander helped the kellers with their problem a lot because helen learned to read braille at perkins school which helped helen a lot later in life.

Page 7: helenkellerJG

i read that helen sometimes pinched or hit her teacher annie that alexander helped the kellers find at the perkins school so helen could have a teacher.but over time helen learned not too.helen pinched or hit annie because her parents let her act out.so annie had to teach helen everything.i think years later what annie taught helen helped her a lot.

i read that using the hand alphabet and braille helen also learned german and french.but helen had a new goal. she wanted to go to college with students who could see and hear.i think helen's goal was a very hard one.and i think helen learning german and french was very impressive and helen must have been a very good student to get to the level of college.

i read that helen learned the thing water by feeling water and having water spelled into her hand suddenly the little girl unde-rstood the liquid she felt and the word being spelled into her hand were the same thing.i think helen wanted to learn and she would not give up.helen proved that she could learn and learn well.helen was also a quick learner.

i read that helen spent three years getting ready for the collage entran-ce exams with students who could both see and hear.the tests were copi-ed into braille.helen worried that she might not pass.but then one day a letter with good news arrived.helen had been accepted toradcliffe collage.helen's perserverance paid off and she was the first blind and deaf woman to finish

an organization with helen's name works to help blind people.these days there are hearing aids that help people who can not hear that well but are not deaf to hear better.i think helen made a positive impact on the world and i'm glad that helen learned to read andwrite in braille and that she learned to speak and figure out what others are saying.

Page 12: helenkellerJG

helen also perservered when she learned the thing and word water she still wanted to learn what other things were.

helen also showed compasion when her father died before she could go to preperation for collage.when her father died she wanted to go home for his funeral but her mom said no because there was an illness going around and helen's mom did not want helen to catch it.helen took action by

learning to speak and figuering out what others are saying helen was one of the first blind and deaf people to speak aloud and understand spoken words.

helen made a differance when she was the first blind and deaf woman to graduate collage.

I'm A changemaker when i: hold the door open for someone, let someone cut me in

line, buy my friend some icecream, help the person sitting

next to me with there work, play a game and be onest that i or anyone

else on my team got out,or when i see someone doing something they

should not be doing i will tell them to stop.

I'm Similar to my changemaker because:

we've both had a time were we are upset but we perservered for helen

it was her first few weeks of learning stuff from annie.for me

its when i'm trying to explain somthing to my brother but he

keeps interupting me and then he gets mad at me.

My Changemaker is connected to:louis braille because they are both blind

and they both eventaully taught people about there

lifee or how to communicate or read when
