All diesel engines with conventional mechanical fuel injection require some form of speed governor to control or limit the speed of the engine. Volvo Penta diesel engine type TAD520GE use a Heinzmann designed and manufactured mechanical speed governor to control the fuel position of the internal engine fuel rack. The governor has all speed control from an idle speed in the range of 700rpm to a maximum speed of 2600 rpm. The mechanical governor has an adjustable droop speed setting for all speeds. The DROOP values are in the region of 4% to 12% and can be adjusted by an external mechan- ical adjustment. Governor Technical Solutions offers a comprehensive mechanical governor overhaul service for all Heinzmann
governor ranges.
The overhaul service is based on a 48 hour turnaround from receipt of the customers actuator and confirmation
in writing of the overhaul quotation . An express 24 hour service is also available including weekend working.
All parts replaced are genuine, to the original manufacturers specification and come with a 12 month warranty.
Extended warranty is also available on request. However this does depend upon the diesel engine duty.
