Firepit Saturday on Nov. 17 A Firepit Friday was held on Oct. 12 as part of week-

A fire pit had been prepared by members of the Prop-erty Committee, especially Robert Christian and Tom Cook, in the play area behind the church where the swing set had been. Several members of the church, including Charles Buchan-an, Larry Mayer and David Moore, contributed wood for the fire.

Marshmallows, graham crackers and chocolate bars were available to make s’mores, and hot dogs, soft drinks and chips were also provided.

The Frog Pond Pickers provided music, and encour-aged those attending to sing along on some songs.

Special thanks go to Theresa and David Moore, and all of the Fellowship/Service Committee.

Because the event was so successful, the committee is planning another event for November 17, which will be a Firepit Saturday. Tentative plans call for a meal of chili, various games, and music. If the weather is bad, or if it’s too cold, events will be moved inside into the Fellowship Hall.

Look for more details in future worship bulletins.

Evening Of Comfort And Joy Dec. 5 The Presbyterian

Women’s annual Evening of Com-fort and Joy will be held Tuesday, Dec. 4, beginning with the traditional soup and sandwich and dessert supper at 6:00 p.m., fol-lowed by a silent auction.

This event is open to everyone – men, women, and young people, and Hebron’s members and friends!

Admission is either a monetary donation of $5, or at least $5 worth of non-perishable food for SACRA.

Silent Auction: The women need lots of nice things to be auctioned. In the past, new items, freshly made fresh baked bread, cinnamon rolls, cakes (please pre-cut large cakes in half), cookies, candies, Christmas decorations, etc., have been sold. It’s always very inter-esting to see what the ladies bring. This is both a won-derful time to do some Christmas shopping, and also to help the needy!

Sheets will be posted so you can sign up if you plan to attend. The women need some idea of attendance to be sure to prepare enough food for everyone.

Sheets will also be posted to list any items you will contribute for the Silent Auction.

All proceeds will go to mission projects the Presby-terian Women support, including SACRA, Valley Mis-sion, and the Verona Food Pantry.

If you have any questions, please call Donna Kirtley, 886-2653.
