HIR KNITTING CLUB

The club continues its 2-year association with Warm Up

America!, knitting squares that WUA sews together to make

afghan blankets, as well as knitting adult size scarves &

hats. We have also partnered with two new charities: Knit

for Kids which accepts and distributes blankets, hats, mittens

and scarves to impoverished children around the world. The

Snuggles Project delivers knitted blankets to animal shelters

in Manhattan & Westchester. Yarn and supplies made

possible through the generosity of a grant from the Gutenstein Family

Foundation.

spouse) Emily Hausman, for the remainder of this year. Joseph brings rabbinic and community building experience, experience work-

ing with children, as well as active involvement in our Youth Department as leader of our Teen Tefillah. Joseph will continue to be

involved in Teen Tefillah as we seek others to play an active leadership role there.

Community-Wide Leaf Rake

On Sunday, November 24, join the Department of Sanitation in partnership with the Riverdale Y to rake leaves at Seton Park. Vol-

unteers can meet directly at Seton Park, or walk over from the Riverdale Y Sunday Market. We will be raking leaves to separate

for composting. The Y is also giving out free composting bags in our lobby! Grab a pack and start the composting fun!
