Established in 1945 from just one hive, Heather Hills Farm is a traditional family-run honey farm based in the Highlands of Perthshire - the heartland of Scotland. We specialise in a selection of 100% pure, raw and natural monofloral and polyfloral honeys and handmade preserves.
Our apiaries are located within rural Perthshire and Royal Deeside – the most beautiful parts of Scotland. Our small-scale production ensures our hives are regularly and well spaced out in large areas. This means that our bees have plenty of opportunity to roam – up to a 5 mile radius of each hive – producing a far superior quality product. A bigger producer would normally cram around 100 hives into the same area, reducing the quality of the product.
In an age of mass production and bulk processing, our honeys are collected and extracted using traditional methods. We never heat our honey over the normal temperature of the hive which is 35°C. This ensures that the essential bee enzymes, protein and natural goodness of our honeys stay within and are not destroyed during the harvesting, separating or bottling processes. This produces artisan, raw honeys with a far superior quality and distinctive flavour
whilst retaining their natural health benefits. In wine terms, our award-winning Scottish Heather Honey is known as the ‘Champagne of Honeys’ due to the geographical location of our hives, the terrain and the climate.
To complement our Scottish Honey Range, we also specialise in a selection of 100% pure, raw, monofloral honeys specifically selected by our Honey Sommelier from around the world for their own unique aroma, palate, finish, and texture.
Our world-class, award-winning Scottish preserves are 100% natural. Bursting with flavour they are handmade using only the finest whole Perthshire fruit - pollinated by our own bees - and raw cane sugar. Handcrafted in small batches in traditional open pans, they contain no artificial flavours, colours or preservatives. Only when our Master Jam Maker is happy to sign off each batch, are we happy to put our name to them.
We are passionate about our bees and conserving our natural environment. Each sale contributes to the survival of the honey bee and their essential work in pollinating the world’s food crops.
We believe that everything deserves the best - naturally - since 1945.
100% RAW JUST AS NATURE INTENDED1300 hives, 52 million honey bees, farmed using traditional methods.

A light coloured, set honey with a soft mellow taste. Our only polyfloral honey produced from the nectar
gathered from a variety of spring flowers, the majority coming from the blossoms of the local fruit farms in
the local area which our bees help pollinate to produce healthy crop yields. A delicate, mild palate with
a buttery texture that melts in the mouth with a long, sweet tangy finish that bursts with fruit. Popular with locals
as a homeopathic remedy for hayfever.

Our delicious Scottish Heather Honey infused with the rich taste of the classic Eastern Highlander 10 year old single malt
from Edradour, our local distillery in Pitlochry. This single malt is rather unique with a decidedly rum-like dram of sherry,
barley and toasted almonds that ends with spiced fruitcake with crème anglaise – it complements our
Scottish Heather Honey perfectly enhancing its warm, assertive smoky palate and endless, floral finish.
Use in desserts and ice cream.
HONEY FIT FOR A QUEENTraditionally gathered since 1945, from the Highlands of Scotland. Produced in small batches and bottled by hand - that’s honey fit for a Queen.

An assertive, full-bodied, warm, smoky palate of toffee with underlying notes of plum and coffee. The finish is endless, deep, malty and floral with a tanginess that lingers. Use as a glaze for pork, ham, game, poultry, salmon and trout, and also in cakes,
bread and ice cream. Pair with Stilton, Cheedar, Scottish Crowdie or a Semi-Aged Goat Cheese.
